Bottle. Black pour, firm brown head. Aroma of cardemom, nuts, mocha, licorice, malt and fruit peel. Taste has soft sweet spices, licorice, mocha, orange, chocolate, nuts and a creamy spicey finish. Nice winter beer.

Gerbeer (3844) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 8, 2017
330 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of cardamon, ginger, dark chocolate, and syrupy roasted malts. Flavors of rich roasted malts, nutty dark chocolate, vanilla, cardamon and ginger, and a little coconut and orange peel. Really tasty and nicely balanced for a spiced beer.

Sysimusta lasissa. Tuoksu stout-tyyliin paahteinen ja hiilinen. Myös aavistus kardemummaa, vaikkei paljon. Maussa edelleen paahdettuja maltaita ja lakritsisuutta. Lopuksi katkeruutta; tämä on ilmeisesti appelsiinin kuorta. Maussa en löydä juurikaan kardemummaa.

33cl bottle. Pitch black pour with a fluffy porter-like tan head. Notes of cardamon, mint, licorice, roasted malts, caramel, toffee, some citrus bitterness which I assume is the orange peel, light hop bitterness. Medium body, medium-low carbonation and a roasty spice-sweet finish.

Big coffee beige head. Not that much on the nose. Very herby, earthy flavor mixed with some chocolate stylings more common for big stouts. Good bod. Good in general

Draught at Ølbaren, shared with Skinnyviking. Decent tan-coloured head, dotted spots on the glass, jet black body. Dark bread and red orange on the nose. Taste of red orange, coffee and mid-sweet spices. Dark malts and citrus peels to the ending. Creamy on the mouth. Well made. Tasty. (Copenhagen 11.05.2017).

Pours deep dark brown, almost black with a huge dark beige frothy head. Aroma is poor, some earthy note, a slight coffee reminiscence and a subtle orange peel note, The flavour is a surprise though: sweet chocolate and dark fruits upfront, followed by a deep roastiness, espresso coffee, dark chocolate. A beautiful slight smokiness and spiciness in the end (cardamom, licorice) lead to a very long roasted coffee finish, slighty hoppy. Medium body, soft carbonation, almost oily mouthfeel. Very good! A very nice surprise.

Skinnyviking (9633) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 16, 2017
Draught at Ølbaren. Medium high creamy lasting light brown bdoy. Pitch black body. Acidic roasted malt berries spicy aroma Smooth and creamy roasted malt oranges cocoa caramel flavor. Pretty hoppy. Notes of liquorice. Low carbonation. Long finish.
