Semi-opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi-dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, a little light malt cream. Semi sweet dark chocolate. Modest spice. Some bouncy dark fruit underneath. Light finish. Light and fruity and deceptively easy to drink. Mild warmth after the swallow. Nice.

Bottle at home, 19/07/18. Pitch black with a decent light tan covering. Nose is bitter roast, toffee, light spice, cocoa powder, singed brown sugars. Taste comprises dark chocolate, booze tunes, bitter sweet notes, caramel, light charr, booze levels are evident. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Passable impy stout .... lacks both finesse and balance ... yes it's 12% but it's a touch heavy handed.

Aroma is strong from coffee and roasted malts with a light touch of licorice. Taste is dark fruit sweet with a dark chocolate sensation. Oily mouthfeel and soft but lingering warmth and a small dab of alcohol in the end. The vanilla is slightly out of tune, but that's over-analyzing.

@ Havregatan 20180209. Bottle (330 ml) from Systembolaget. Roasted malty with chocolate and licorice, soya sauce and dried fruits, sweet, medium to full body with an oily texture. The finish is roasted, bitter and sweet with chocolate.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2017. This one is more or less black there it's resting in the glass. A medium sized brownish beige head on the top. Mildish and dry aroma. Ashy a little minerallic. Hints of cold coffee. Quite mild. Tastes much more! And it's really delicious. Vanilla and a nice sweetness. Chocolate and a good roasty backbone. It has a nice thick oily texture in the mouth and it's just above average on the carbonation. Marshmallows and a nice licorice tail. Nice! 13.05.2017
