PowY (4562) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - SEP 25, 2019UPDATED: SEP 25, 2019 330 ml bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden with a quickly disappearing white head. The aroma is funky and woody - leather, some berries, unripe gooseberries, black currant, hints of apples, overripe grapes - nice smell. Medium body with an average carbonation, a light acidity and a light to medium tartness. Very well balanced. The flavor starts with light acidic notes, fain hints of balsamic vinegar, hints of citric notes, quiet some wood, tart berries, grape skin and leather. Becomes dry and tarter pretty quickly. Finishes dry and woody with a light fruity tartness. Overall very well balanced with a nice depth a distinct woody character and a refreshing acidic kick along a good drinkability.

davidezdonz (1893) - Hong Kong, HONG KONG - AUG 30, 2019UPDATED: AUG 30, 2019 A 375ml bottle, 2015 vintage, bottled in March 2016, and with a notched best before date of March 2020. Poured into a Holy Mountain tulip glass. It was a lightly hazy golden orange colour with a big just over two finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly to a thin layer, but left lots of nice lacing. Aromas sour, tart, oak, funk, white grape, blackcurrant, and a hint of lemon rind. Tastes sour, oak, straw, funk, white grape, blackberry, with only a hint of blackcurrant and lemon. Medium to light bodied with moderate to soft carbonation. Overall, I enjoyed this the more I drank it. It was balanced and tasty although the blackcurrant was perhaps a little light and the carbonation too soft.
