3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from my Secret Santa anstei. Many thanks! Hops centered. High bitterness is countered by moderate candyish and slightly caramelly malty sweetness. Lots of hops character - fruity, tropical, citrusy. Finishes slightly grassy. Good one!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
from CraftGallery - cloudy dark reddish-amber beer under a creamy beige foam; nice lace; a fair aromatic hoppy aroma of blueberries, rose and pines; full-bodied, tasty and with some sweetness; rounded palate and a late respectable bitterness, long fruity aftertaste of tangerines and blueberries

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. The bottle lives! Murky floaties, huge cappuccino cream. Cheesy and onionny hop aroma. Medium body, creamy, estery berry infected notes, fruit tea musky hops, white bread. Fresh hops retronasal. Can’t determine intention here, but since they often are clean IPAs, don’t think it was meant to be.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2016 Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Pours hazy amber. Super citric aroma. Medium to heavy body, smooth carbonation, with that typical mints that 523 often has. Lingering finish. Great drinkability, highly tasty. Yum.
