A really nice doppelbock. Pours dirty cola brown with a small white fizz. Aroma is chocolate with light toasted caramel malt. Taste is a little bitter, chocolate and toasted caramel. Light body and a little acidic but I like.

Bottle from the lcbo. Dark brown pour, medium beige head. Aroma is quite sweet, loads of bread, solid grains, huge sweet, sticky malty notes. Full mouth feel, soft carb. Low bitterness, sweet caramel, sweet toffee, sticky syrupy sweet groans and breads. It's like drinking carbonated malt extract. A malty treat.

Where and how: bot 500 ml @ home
Aroma malt all in, clean, solid old school.
Appearance :
Top: lighter beige top, shorter life.
Base: dark brown.
Palate : full bodied, average carbonation.
Taste: very malty, bready, dark roasted crust, some alcohol heat on edges. Softer mellower finish. Like a dark 10 kopek rye.

Metalchopz (4319) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 21, 2018
Pours a hazy, deep copper brown colour with a frothy warm beige head, good retention and some light foamy lace. Very fruity nose with mostly dark fruits (figs, dates, raisins, etc), blended with apples and a nice touch of nuttiness. The alcohol is well-hidden with a beautiful touch of warming in the finish. Seems like the hops balances things here as well. Flavours of dark fruits again, with less nutty notes. More of the burnt malts. The bitterness gets stronger and stronger, slowly. Pretty nice all-around.

blankboy (8360) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 9, 2018
[Bottle (500ml)] Pours a very dark brown with an average size quick diminishing frothy beige head. Nice malty aroma (7+), also nutty and chocolaty, along with some fruit and light hops. Lightly toasted malty flavour along with dark fruit, chocolate, light hops and a light but long-ish bitter finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Average bodied. Pretty good Doppel.

mabel (10726) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 11, 2018
