Short grey head. Clear dark brown-red color. Very interesting aroma from the juniper berries blended with a dark Munich malt. Tiny malt sweetness and good bitterness blended with a small tar taste and a balanced bitterness. A bit thin body for a bock, it resembles more a normal dunkel.
This beer is a good tribute to what beer could have tasted for more than 100 years ago when Finland didn’t have access to hops in the same way as now days and they used other spices, such as juniper berries to add taste to the beer. Tar, tar candy, licorice, dark bread, spicy notes in flavor.
Flavor has tervaleijona candy taste, malts, some minerals. Light bodied.
Tarry but not offensive.

0,5l bottle from Alko, Pilkko. Pours clear deep amber with a low head. Aroma is malts with some smoke. Flavor is malts, smoke, tar and some hops. Decent.

Deep dark clear ruby, big creamy/frothy beige head, sticky lacing patches. Malty sweet with tar, dark bread, bit vegetables, damp clothes briefly. Medium body, fizzy, bit thin feel, better flavor, not that much disturbing elements, tar, smoky notes, sugary but dries bit. Bit messy, aroma is bit so and so. Pity this is ment as a 100 year independence jubileum beer.. we deserve better..seems bit hastily made. Ate also vegetable dish with this...you have been warned..don’t make my mistake. Smell of malt. Dark brown colour, light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, some smoky notes, a faint of tar in finish. Mildly bitter. Medium carbon, medium body, medium in all ways. Bland and boring. Sweet messy aroma, this is like a cheap bad belarusian (baltic) porter. Darkish red, small beige head. Taste is worse than the aroma. Sweet dirty malts, and I think I should now apologise to belarus for thinking that any of their brewers would produce shit like this. OK, this is bottom fermented, but I have to ask - IN WHOSE BOTTOM?!?!? Fuck this shit, these guys can brew great beers, I can’t be arsed to write anything coherent if they can’t be bothered to brew anything coherent. Dirty shit. Nope.

OK, this time it’s rather good. Very pleasant tarry aroma and taste, everything balanced. Lovely bock. What was wrong with the bottle?
500ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Very dark brown color. Medium size, yellowish head, stays. Woody, milky, tar, spruce, herbal in aroma. Sugary, milky, woody and tar in taste. So many unfermented grains of sugar floating around in this brew. Everything sits in different corner and refuses to communicate to each other. Very weird brew.
