Tanker tap-takeover @ Beerfox Artisanal Beer Bar, Riga, September 29th. Pours nice creamy and dark orange, cloudy and not too much foam there. Nose is sweet, lots of sugary figs, some grassy hops, orange marmalade. This barleywine has had some time to get into terms with itself and I feel that it has gotten quite mellow and more rounded. Taste is bringing that out quite clearly, marmelade-sweet, grassy-hoppy, American style barleywine that is also well-rounded and where this 12% alcohol is hidden supremely well. Drinks just too smooth, manipulates with your taste sensors and is clearly dangerous!

Dark amber / reddish with small white head. Sweet aroma with bread notes. Malty / bread sweetness balanced by touch of sourness and followed by quite strong bitterness.
