A: Pours a dark brown color forming very small beige head which dissipates quite quickly leaving almost no lacings
S: Most probably the best part of this brew. Strong dark chocolate and roasted malts. Notes of licorice, dark fruits (mainly plums), caramel. Light notes of coffee
T: Sweet and roasted upfront. Strong notes of dark chocolate, caramel, caramel malts, roasted malts, wood. A bit too sweet in the mouth. Good bitterness, mainly roastiness bitterness
M: Heavy creamy and a bit molasses body. Low carbonation. Chocolaty aftertaste
O: Good drinkability. Great beer but a little bit too sweet

Stout/cola-like pour. The caramel coloured head quickly fizzes away with no lacing. The small is dark furits, nougat, and licorice. The flavor is licorice with dark fruits. Tastes like an american belgian style beer. Not the greatest. yespr (52442) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 24, 2012

Bouteille de 33 cl de chez Grain d’Orge à Crissier (CH). Vintage 2006. Dark brown with short beige foam. Flavor of licorice, roasted malt, caramel and woody notes. The mouth is very soft, but has a certain acidity, alcohol, taste of dried fruits, malt caramelized, chocolate and spices. The body is full and a little tannic. The bitterness in the finale is ideal. Comments: Very originally spicy Belgian. I wonder if they got those flavours through malt alone.. oregano? Anise? Sweet and herbal blend and the alcohol ends up being unnoticeable.
Bottled. A murky brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate, herbs, and roasted malt. The flavor is slightly acidic with notes of roasted malt as well as light notes of chocolate, leading to a dry bitter finish. omhper (28417) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 16, 2007
Bottled, thanks Bov! Dark ruby, airy head. Dusty vinous nose with coffee and plums. Surprisingly dry with near full body and dairly clean mouthfeel. Restrained but highly complex flavours of caramel, cocoa and orange, as well as wood and honey. Lovely! ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 14, 2007
Bottled. Hazy reddish brown with a minimal head. Malty aroma of almond, fudge, figs and red berries. Yeasty flavour of blackberries, figs and almonds. Slippery mouthfeel. Dried cherries, raisin, figs and alcohol in the maltyaftertaste. Good one.
