COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

from la Cave à Bières - cloudy very dark brown beer with a poor head retention; aroma of black chocolate, roasted malts, tobacco and vanilla; full-bodied, sweet, gently lactic; late and robust bitterness; aftertaste of vanilla, prunes and black chocolate with a lingering bitter hoppiness

330ml bottle generously sent by derA as a part of European local swap, many thanks.

Looks just like melted and watered down milk chocolate. Brown and cloudy. Smells of chocolate and milk. Taste is a bit sour but light. A rather sweet chocolate comes out and takes over the taste. The sourness in the front is fruity but not dominating like the chocolate.

I bought this bottle from the grain d’orges, in Crissier. I drank it at home two days ago. In my opinion, it is an interesting beer for the style, not easy to understand the structure of taste. I drank it not cold, deep brown and black body, regular carbonation, a bit sparkling, few foam. The taste is sour, gooseberry, some hop, malt, the final is a bit bitter, good one.
