Tap @Taphouse, Cph. Pours deep burgundy red with a small, staying creamy beige head. Aroma has lots of red wine, chocolate, red apple esters. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has really elegant red wine notes, the oak almost reaching bfm levels, chocolate, caramel. Grapes are apparent. Perhaps a. Tad too sweet in the centre, firmly placing this as a barrel aging more fit for a 10-11% American Strong Ale than a mere porter. But it has been added at a perfect time to the barrel and removed perfectly as well. Barrel-aging extravaganza to come?
