UPDATED: MAY 15, 2023 330 ml shared with Ryan, Phill, Dima, and Katya on the bank in Ghent. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: some dark fruits, a bit smoky, moderately sweet. Taste: same, with a nice balanced roasty bitterness. Overall: good one.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2023 Poured from 330mL bottle (bottled 22.02.2023). Very f ark brown with small light tan head. Gentle roast malt, mild fruit sour underlay. Okay.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2023 Svart med beige skum. Lukter røstet malt, kaffe og sjokolade. Smaker kanskje mest sjokolade men også kaffe og noe tørkede frukter.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2022 Draught@HBF2018. Black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown creamy head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, some liquorice, tobacco and mild ripe fruits. Flavour is coffee, chocolate, tobacco, ripe fruits, mild alcohol as well as some nutty and mild liquorice tones.

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2022 Thuis geproefd op 4 december 2022 van 33 cl fles. Met dank aan collega Tonny die dit meebracht uit Riga. Zwart bier met minder stabiele lichtbruine kraag. Aroma: alcohol, gebrande mout, wat fondantchocolade en beetje koffie. Vol mondgevoel. Smaak: zoetje, donker vruchten, gebrande donkere mouten, mindere koolzuurprikkel dan gemiddeld, fondantchocolade, koffie, alcoholwarmte. Top.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2022 Bottle @ Two More Beers, Riga. Black body under a fast disappearing brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and alcohol. Taste in the same direction, roasted dark malt, coffee, dark chocolate, dry fruit and warming alcohol. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Nice classic imp. Stout.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2021 Black colour with quickly gone brown head. Aroma of liquorice, chocolate, medicine, alcohol. Taste of roasted malts, dried fruits, alcohol warmness. Pretty good stuff for long evening.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2020 33cl bottle from Lauvas alus webshop. Pours almost completely black with a moderate, beige head. Roasty and malty with notes of licorice, dark chocolate and hints of dried dark fruits and caramel. Sweet, smooth and desserty. Medium to high flavour intensity and a slightly dry finish. Certainly a nice one.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2020 33cl bottle. A very dark brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate, dark malt and caramel. Taste of dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, long roasted bitter finish.
