pleispleis (117) - Maccagno, ITALY - APR 28, 2017

0,5l can. Nose: grassy, not much else. Taste: normal lager taste, with maybe a slightly different taste, more grassy than a normal one.

I bought this bottle at the Coop in Prélaz, I drank it yesterday with Massimo. In my opinion, it is an average lager, better than the original but it is not so bitter than a pils. The color is yellow and gold, normal carbonation, thin and white foam. The taste is classical, malty, small side of sugar, sweet, some hop, If I compare with the hopfenperle, this one is more sweet, drinkable. Now feldschlösschen make better beers because they are losing a small part of the market due to the news breweries, I am afraid that in a couple of years, they will buy some of them.

500ml can served in a regular glass. Pours a hazy yellow to orange color forming a medium light yellow head with medium retention and some thin lacings formed and left in the glass. Nose is sweet and grassy. Caramel malt and hops. Notes of resin. Slightly sweet upfront taste. Caramel malts, a bit syrupy and a bit fruity. Medium hops bitterness. A mix of orange, grass and resin. Light body. Medium carbonation. Caramel, orange and resin in the aftertaste. Not persistent bitterness. Average drinkability. Average Lager.
