ManVsBeer (19453) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 6, 2023
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2023 Tap @ Rheinfelder Bierhalle, Zürich. Reddish-brown, but more of the latter. Clear, with some carbonation. Gentle tasting despite its strength, with a light tasting dark maltiness, and a hint of caramel.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2021 Review: 50cl can of Feldschlösschen Dunkel Brune: 5.5% vol. Comes in an all brown can, not the prettiest sight but it will do. Also can get in bottles. Get a good amount on the pour, nice. Good frothy tanned head, and a deep amber looking beer, looks good, no it looks fantastic, very nice on the eye. Good lacing. Very light smell, very faint. Just a regular beery aroma, malty and not much else. Disappointing. Nice big mouthfuls on the initial taste, oh, very nice. Aftertaste is roasted malts, smoky, interesting! Not a bad taste, biscuity taste, deep, I like it. Especially the aftertaste, full bodied and very filling in the taste. Like a hearty meal, very good, perfect for a slow session. Went down very well, not too bitter, quite well balanced. Coffee tastes detected and sweet caramel malts. Overall I liked this a lot, and I will return, nice one.

PowY (4562) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - MAR 19, 2020
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2020 500 ml can at home. Pours a clear dark mahogany with an off-white unstable head. The aroma is lightly to medium malty sugar, syrup, some toffee, some toasted bread and hints of dried fruits. Medium body with a soft to average carbonation, a light to medium sweetness and hardly any bitterness. The flavor starts with sweet malt, syrup, some burnt caramel, some honey, some cardboard. Finishes with a light but lingering burnt note. Aroma: 5 Appearance: 4 Taste: 5 Palate: 3 Overall: 9

ophone (1379) - LUXEMBOURG - SEP 4, 2019
UPDATED: SEP 4, 2019 Dark with a frothy head. Smell of caramel and chocolate. Rather bland metallic taste, with too much bitterness for a dark beer. Medium carbonation.

Beer5000 (10638) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 15, 2019
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2019 Bottle somewhere at Zurich airport. Clear amber body with a nice, dense tan head. Aroma is strongcaramel malt and hint of bread. Flavor is quite sweet caramel malt, brown sugar and slightly metallic harsh bitterness. Medium body with aftertaste in the same direction. Drinkable but pretty one dimension on the caramel side.

Lore (6794) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 21, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 21, 2019 clear chestnut colour with reddish hue, huge, dense and stable beige-ish head; aroma of plum jam, plum pie, caramel, some toasted rye bread, slight chocolate and roasted notes; taste of syrupy-burnt sugary sweetness, slight cocoa and herbal liqueur notes, as well as minimal burnt plum jam - a bit unbalancedly sweet; well, I expected a bit more from its taste based on the aroma

JorgeLee (3122) - Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2019 From a can, picked up at Prodega. Poured a nice rich brown colour, bright, with some white bubbly foam. It’s a fairly safe take on a dunkel, with a pleasant sweetish caramelly malty flavour. Not cloying and easy to drink, although could take a tad more dryness or a tiny bit of noble hop just to add more interest. It’s nothing revolutionary, but I do seem to like the brown Beers of Feldschlösschen a lot more than their lamentable efforts at pale lager.

Monty27 (363) - GERMANY - JAN 5, 2019
UPDATED: JAN 5, 2019 Though the colour suggests roast malt, there is only caramel-like sweetness, quite well balanced with a mild hoppy bitterness, but none of the heavier malty notes. It tastes mainly like flavoured lager and a quite watery one as well. Easy to drink in large quantities.
