COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Framboise is a classic among the Belgian beers created by adding whole fresh raspberries (250 g/l)to a blend of young and old lambic. Framboise Oud Beersel is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses.

Slight hazy dark red with a finger of white-pinkish head. Aroma has pretty much just overly ripe raspberry (or strawberry) expect for a soft dough base and a very delicate hint of sourness. Fair intensity. Taste is very much the same. Soft dough/white bread and slight sourness to keep sweetness in check. Though, as mentioned, all in all it's just raspberry. Ligh to medium bodied with light to medium carbo, soft crispness, with an overall rather silky feel. Overall ok and certainly flawless. Surely lacks complexity and does not seem too interesting to me.

Deep red with a foamy pink head. Aroma of rasberry and citrus. Taste is sweet and sour with some tartness and a dry aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tame to the point of being unduly soft and friendly. Nose is great with lifted strawberry fruits (thanks Sherlock!) but diluted power in the palate and a lack of acid doesn't help. Bad keg?

Tap at Brewdog Tallinn, November 9th 2017 (thanks Marduk). Pours reddish pink with some white foam on the top. Nose is just perfect grandma's raspberry jam. Lots of fruit character and no cloying sweetness. Taste is reaffirming what could be understood from the nose, lots of fruity raspberry, good creamy body, not too acidic but rather soft and easygoing. Very enjoyable.

Tap at BrewDog Tallinn. Deep purpur colour, pink head. Beautiful colour! Aroma of sweet raspberry jam, marmalade, yogurt? Tastes sweet, raspberry, sugary. Some tartness. Acid only in very late aftertaste after warming up. In blind taste I wouldn't even consider it to be lambic. It's really good fruit beer, but really weak lambic. And that's why overall score goes down. Name it to fruit beer and I'd drink it.

Tap. Hazy red-pink color. Medium size, bubbly pink color. Raspberry jam, sour, acidic in aroma. Raspberry jam, sourish, sweet, bit acidic in taste. It is like fermented raspberry jam on drugs. I like it.

Keg at CBC Brixton as Oud Beersel Framboise, 5%. First impression is just how jammy the aroma is, even from distance. Pours a hazy brick red, translucent bordering on opaque with a huge creamy pink head that leaves full lacing. Aroma is jammy dodgers all over, then raspberry filled doughnuts and some jolly rancher. So jammy. Body is light but quite rounded with tingly carbonation. Taste is again jammy dodger biscuits, thin jam on bread, stewed raspberry and general fruit cordial made up with sodawater. This is a pretty fun beverage to try. It's definitely sweet but I wouldn't say overly so. The complexity isn't really there. Quite tasty though. (7-4-5-3-15=3.4)
