pawos (213) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - AUG 9, 2017
Kolor bursztynowy. W aromacie przyjemne amerykańskie chmiele. Są cytrusy, jest ananas, jest mango. Po ogrzaniu wychodzi nieco nieprzyjemnego alkoholu. W smaku dominuje mocna goryczka, trochę zalegająca. Jest chmielowy posmak i trochę słodyczy. Także w smaku nieco zbyt alkoholowe

Aromat to owoce nuty, "zielony" zapach chmielu oraz cukrowe landrynki i lekki karmel. W tle delikatne nuty cebuli. W smaku piwo było wręcz likierowe, przypomina wyciąg słodowo-chmielowy. Słodkie, landrynkowe z wysoką goryczką, próbującą nadążyć za słodowością.

[email protected] Au Trappiste -cloudy reddish-orange beer with a little foam left; aroma of ripe peaches and apricots; notes of onions; full-bodied, fairly sweet and with a late well-integrated bitterness; moderate carbonation, tasty and lively palate; quite a lot of residual sweetness; aftertaste of caramel, onions and peaches

On tap @ Brewdog, Berlin. Pours hazy orange, with a small creamy head. Aroma is tropical hops with mango, pineapples and apricots, orange peel and passion fruit, as well as some malts with biscuits and honey. Medium to full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is tropical hops with mango, apricots and pineapples, with tangerines, orange and light grassy notes.

Aroma is dominated by exotic fruity sweetness with notes of brown sugar, some caramel. Hazy orange in the glass with medium head. Taste is semi sweet with notes of exotic fruits, but dominated by sugary sweetness. Medium body, refreshing, but too sweet in my book.

[email protected] Pours orange, hazy, small head. Strong hoppy aroma, citrus, tropical, malts, overall crisp in mouth, heavy aroma. Full body, average carbonation.

15/VII/17 - on tap @ Omnipollo tap take-over in Gollem (Antwerpen) - BB: n/a (2017-1005) Thanks to 77ships, alengrin and Erwin for sharing tonight’s beers!

Cloudy orange blond beer, thick creamy irregular off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty dank, very fruity, resinous, tropical fruits, pineapple, ripe mango. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: sweet and sugary start, lots and lots of tropical fruits, hoppy, pineapple, harsh bitterness, lots of alcohol, lovely stuff. Aftertaste: very hoppy, lots of resin, alcohol burning, bitter finish.

Alengrin (5438) - BELGIUM - JUL 19, 2017
Draft at Gollem. Stigbergets’ take on the IIPA concept, with very thick, frothy and bubbly but eventually dissolving, egg-white, coarse head, cloudy orangey peach blonde robe with somewhat salmon pinkish hue. Intense bouquet of tangerine, guava puree, kumquats, mango, orange peel liqueur, pine reasin, stale sweat, glue, soggy biscuit, egg yolk, blue cheese, some yeast autolysis with sewer water-ish note. Very fruity onset from intense hoppiness, lots of ripe mango, lychee, pomelo and a sourish lime touch, sweet first and foremost though, with thick, glueish, oily mouthfeel. Biscuity malt sweet body, bit caramelly, very long and intense hoppy finish, retronasal candied mango, orange juice, pine needle and grapefruit peel effects, spicy bitterness in the mouth but in all relatively gentle in terms of pure bitterness, this is clearly more concentrated on aroma effects. Rich and lush with typical American IIPA profile, too bad for that sulfuric accent in the nose - would have really fallen in love with this if it weren’t for that minor flaw.

Vom Fass im Muted Horn Berlin 2017-07 getrunken. Ein TIPA also.
