COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Bavarian Purity Law came into effect in 1516. When Bavaria joined Prussia to become part of the German Empire (Deutsches Reich) in the unification of 1871, one of the conditions was that the Bavarian beer purity law apply to all of Germany. Since then it was known as the GERMAN purity Law (Deutsches Reinheitsgebot).

Incidentally, the Purity Law stated that only 3 ingredients may be used for beer: Water, Hops & Barley. Weissbeer also has Yeast added, so is in fact in violation of this law.

Maakun (9601) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - APR 22, 2019
UPDATED: APR 22, 2019 Bottle at home almost in the sun (like our cats I prefer the shade). Hazy dark golden with big pillowy white head. Overripe banana, light alspice, dough, caramel, wort, cloves, ontbijtkoek, apricot, soft mineral. Medium sweet and over light bitter. Medium bodied. A bit too sweet, but way above non-alcoholic lagers.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2019 I love this beer. I used to drink a lot of different lagers, stouts, bitters and pale ales but decided to take part in dry January to give my liver a break. So I turned to non and low alcohol beers, and after a number of unpleasant experiences with different brews I came across this. It’s tasty with a hint of fruit and just the right amount of bitterness. It’s a white (or wheat, depending on your background) which may not be to everyone’s taste because it’s cloudy, but if you like Bavarian beers you should definitely try this. It has <0.5% alcohol and is about half the calories of a regular 5% lager. Good for the liver and the waistline. I often drink this at home in preference to regular beers.

Aroma a cereal crudo.

equisetum (657) - Kielce, POLAND - MAR 15, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2019 Niedobry, nawet w kategorii bezalkoholowy weizen. Marnie.

Nevalainen (1065) - FINLAND - FEB 19, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2019 Hazy orange color with tall white head. Aroma is fruity, banana and citrus. Taste is light bitter with fruity and citrusy notes. Pretty tasty for a non alcoholic beer.

ichijo3 (141) - - FEB 9, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 9, 2019 Getreidiger leicht hefiger Geruch.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2019 Niet heel smaakvol bier.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2019 Bottle - light golden yellow, clear with initial thick white head. Good mouthfeel. Slightly Musty aroma - hay. Ok tasting though no great finish. Ok for an alcohol free beer.
