Bitterbill (3241) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - JUN 10, 2023
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2023 From City Brew Tours, canned April 3rd. It pours a clear dark gold with a finger of foam, lacing is good. The smell is vanilla, coffee, coconut, caramel, kind of like a mounds bar but with coffee. The taste is vanilla, coffee, coconut, caramel, sweetish in a candy bar like way. Very interesting flavours that capture my immediate attention but I don't reckon that I could drink more than one at a sitting. Good mouthfeel. Excellent for a one beer session.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2023 On tap. Pours a clear light orange with a thick white head. Aroma of vanilla, coffee cream, roasted malt, roasted nuts. Flavor of vanilla, milk chocolate, cream, smooth roasted coffee, chocolate malt. Nice, very smooth, lots of chocolate/vanilla flavor and mild coffee as well. 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2021 16oz can from Arrow - Mason, canned 9/9/21. Coffee in the nose, vanilla joins in the flavor, some cracker type malt. Light to moderate sweet, more dry, light bitter. Lighter to medium body, crisp light to moderate carbonation. More refreshing, less sweet than expected. Maybe a bit too much so though, almost papery. Still though, a nice easy-drinking coffee blond overall, nice one to enjoy on a Sunday afternoon.

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2019 Can shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates quickly. Coffee and vanilla forward aromas with some coconut aromas. Sweet on the palate, almost sugary sweet with the vanilla really standing out. More coffee bitterness on the finish.

phaleslu (16533) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 31, 2018
16 oz. can from Higher Gravity. Pours a just barely cloudy copper-gold with a small white head that settles into a ring and patchy island of film, leaving a few small stray ropes of lace in the glass. Notes of coconut, vanilla, cream, very mild coffee, caramel, toasted sugars, tea, straw, and cereal. Light-bodied, with modest carbonation and a sweet but really light, quick mouthfeel that just washes across the palate without leaving a big impression. The aroma is straight-up coconut to me and the flavor/palate is lighter and less distinctive. Interesting, odd beer. Crushable but could be better.

Dogbrick (18567) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 17, 2018
Sample at the brewpub. Clear golden color with a medium white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing. Aroma of coffee, vanilla and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, malt, vanilla and coconut. The finish is sweet and roasty with a coconut coffee aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Crowler at Al's, golden color with small to medium head. Notes of Coconut shaving, coffee, milk chocolate, light hops, caramel, and vanilla. A bit too much sweetness and gross dunkin donuts coffee thing going on.

on tap @ Streetside / Cincinnati OH --- Aroma of malt and vanilla. Nearly clear amber brown color, off-white head that quickly drops to the rim, streaks of lace. Taste is malt that adds vanilla and only a bit of coffee. Carbonation is modest, but this was "canned" as a growler three days ago, which would account for some of the loss. The overall experience is very positive, placing this as a superb ale. Hard to understand blond or golden, not just in looks, but also in taste. Still well worth many repeat performances.

Draft to taster in a flight at Streetside. Pours a clear dark golden color with a small disappearing off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, vanilla, good light roasted coffee with a bunch of vanilla cream, tobacco, better than I expected.
