From Mar 2006 Poured from 500ml brown bottle(room temp) a a medium gold with a large head of foam that dissipated slowly. The smell is a sweet and spicy mix of hops and malt that's not subtle at all and that is a good thing. The taste repeats the smell. Yummy sweet malty goodness up front with an ample background of lemony hops gives this ale such great balance and drinkablility that I find this one to be my favourite of the Wychwood brews! Bottom line: This is a great sessionable English Pale Ale that I have no qualms about visiting again and again.

Old rating. 500 ml bottle from Old Town. Toffee aromas with some bread. Taste is all toffee and malt. Lightly dry finish with some sweetness.

This beer has a great malty flavor. Nice earthy aroma. Not too hoppy. Has a good fruity taste.

"eh. decent enough, it’s true to the style as a classic english bitter, there’s just not much to grab one’s attention. well balanced but a bit thin, with a slightly bitter and spicy (and delicate) hop presence."

Regular.

Headbanger (4207) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - FEB 19, 2014
16.9oz bottle (Old Notes)-Pours a medium brown with a small head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, and malt. Taste of the same with more malt. This medium bodied brew was OK.

Erzengel (11150) - Saarland, GERMANY - NOV 4, 2013

Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 13, 2013
Floral perfume and caramel aroma, very mellow scent. Clouded tan color. Dry sweet flavor, slight hop presence. Slick thinner body. Just an ordinary bitter IMO.
