Tangy toasted malt flavor. Nice coffee-like character with a pinch of hoppiness in the finish. Cloying mouth filling aftertaste.
slowrunner77 (19964) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 5, 20142010 decent malty ale. served ice cold, so it takes a while to open up and is pleasantly sweet with a light hop bite when it does.
davidm (2178) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - DEC 17, 2010Tap. Nice beer, but not true to style. Aromas of caramel, and butter. Aroma is sweet, with average length. Palate is silky, with a thin body. Amber, with a frothy head.
DuffMan (10981) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 6, 2010On tap at Windmills in Kingston. Deep copper with a thick nitro-looking tan head. Aroma is not good: veggie compost with sweet undertones. Flavours are decent enough-- toffee, vague dark fruits, low bitterness.
JaBier (14208) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - APR 2, 2010Bottle shared by Dogbrick as a precursor to his Portland beer tasting. Pours a clear gold/copper with a medium off-white head. Malty nose with cream and caramel. Creamy malt flavor with a bit of a bitter hop finish. Not knocking my socks off, but better than I expected.

Dogbrick (18555) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 6, 2010Sample at the "Portland? Psh More Like Beerland" tasting on 03/10/10. Bottle courtesy of a traveling colleague. The beer is a clear dark amber color with a medium thin and foamy off-white head that dissipates slowly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Grainy malt and hops in the nose. Medium, smooth body with flavors of sweet malt, mildly bitter hops and a touch of molasses. The finish is malty with a lingering light hops aftertaste. Okay overall.
Bejaaamin (115) - London, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 11, 2009deep reddish/brown, big beige head. nose; smells good, malty, herbacious, bread dough, taste is a little nutty, crisp, some roastiness, overall pleasant.
tgncc (3179) - Bellmore, New York, USA - JUL 16, 2009At my hotel in Niagara Falls. This was a lot like an amber ale. The appearance was amber, white head. The aroma was bread, caramel, malts. The flavor was caramel, and a sourdough bread taste, actually enjoyable. The finish was bitter, mainly from noble hops. The mouthfeel was thin/medium. Not bad at all.
terrybail (704) - London, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 26, 2008On tap at the Woolwich Arms in Guelph
The aroma was almost no existent slight sweet hops
Pours a pale cooper with a small white head with good lacing
The taste was fairly mild and i am unsure whether the keg was old or not so this one will need to be revisited at some point
