Bottled Spring 2017, BB 03/2020. amber cloudy color, small white head. smells musty, citric, estragon, some fruit notes, grassy, nutty, marzipan, bit citric, very nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, earthy, wood, nutty, marzipan, peppery, light smokish, herbal, spices, estragon, hints of vinegar. finishes medium sour and dry with notes of vinegar, estragon and some peppery notes. quite good one, cognac is very subtle, good complexity, just a tad on the sour side but Meilby (11831) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 25, 2017

Pours hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, tartness, caramel, oak and dried fruits. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium sour with a long citrus, tartness and fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle. Malt Attacks, Brussels. Pale, gingery amber. Soft haze. Surprisingly sturdy, clingy, white head. Nose has cheesy funk. Damp sawdust. Red grape skin. Steeped, boozy sultana. Bit of ripe plum. Some cherry stone. Lots going on. Smells great. Taste has some oaky sweetness. A little tart and cherry stone sour. Light pucker, with a clean mouthfeel. Tart, tangy finish. 330ml bottle served in a pint glass. Pours a cloudy orange color forming a medium creamy white head with low retention and lots of thin lacings formed and left in the glass. Nose is sweet. Strong notes of sweet pale malts and vinegar. Apple vinegar and citrus. Light metallic notes. Slightly sweet upfront taste notes. Strong notes of pale malts, citrus lemon peal, apple vinegar. Sample at Shelton Fest 2017, on a suggestion from the gallery. Cognac is light and adding just a bit of sweetness to the otherwise complex and medium tart sour. Medium funk on the finish as well. Well done.
