Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Clear orange colour with thin white head, aroma is malt, hops , honey , really pleasant , taste is malty , slightly hoppy, great bitterness, carbonation is just a little bit higher than expected , but still great mouthfeel. Actually, this is much better than I expected.

daydesiang (91) - MALAYSIA - APR 24, 2018
UPDATED: APR 24, 2018 Nose: citrus hop? Not your average lager smell but more towards pale ale? Taste: Pale pale ale? Citrus hop, some floral notes with maltiness and refreshing carbonation. Little bitterness at the end and not too dry. Aftertaste: short I think this taste more towards pale ale than lager. Erm, not really what I expect from a lager but also not something I prefer from a lager as well. The weak citrus and floral doesn’t match the refreshing nature of lager-that-I-expect.

foyle (452) - North Carolina, USA - APR 21, 2018
Pours a thin but lingering off white head that leaves little lacing. Color is clear amber with mild streaming carbonation. Aroma of floral, citrus, and pine hops with yeasty bread dough. Mouthfeel is light, slightly sticky, with a somewhat damp finish. Flavors herbs, citrus rind, floral, toasted bread. A very good vienna lager.
