COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Yeeow! Especially for the holidays, a brown ale with real attitude! The malts used to make Warm Welcome are roasted to give a hearty amber-brown color and a warm, rounded nutty taste. This fine ale is dedicated to all you curious brew-lovers out there who ever had serious questions about Santa’s supposed arrival by way of the chimney. (How does he do that, anyway?)

AshtonMcCobb (8792) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 8, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 8, 2019 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - deep amber to autumnal red. Off white head. Nose - strawberry, possibly honey and brown bread. Taste - honey, caramel, brown bread. Palate - medium bodied, with a rich middle and a dry finish. Overall - probably should be an ESB in terms of style. Good.

Jabah (2112) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - MAR 6, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 6, 2019 Expecting a little more from something form this region. Same thing with the Bad King John. Good but not great. Lighter brown colored, on the clear side. Mouthfeel is decent and smooth. Flavor of caramel malt with some spice. Good hop finish with some Belgian-like yeast qualities. Flavor kind of growing up me towards the end of the sample, but just can't give it an 8. Has potential, but only a little above average here.

ManVsBeer (14195) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2018
Bottle from Booths Supermarket, Media City. Deep amber with an extremely thin head. There's a deep sweetness to it hops, with a hint of chocolate in its nose. Not a classic brown ale in style, but it works well enough.

A mild earthy toffee dominates both aroma and flavor. Malty, with not much hops to temper the sweetness. Long and very nutty finish. Pours a sludgy light brown with some yeast chunks. Ugly, but not a bad beer. One dimensional though, and perhaps too sweet.

HourGlass13 (1590) - North Carolina, USA - APR 7, 2018
Pours a cloudy brown with a small beige head. Aroma is caramel malt, pretty sweet smelling. Taste is caramel malt, yeast, mild dark fruit and nutty flavors. Really, pretty sweet. Palate is a medium body with mild carbonation. Finish is sweet caramel malt, with a very nutty ending. Not the best in class but overall a good flavorful brew.

Bottle at home, 04/02/18 a Sharon pick up at a farm shop. Rich chestnut brown with a well appointed light beige covering. Nose is earthy, dried, fruits, light spice, nutty, brow bread, malts. Taste comprises fruit loaf, tangy fruits, biscuit, grains, dusty, almost a Belgian yeast thing going down, light spice. Better than I expected ... ok winter warmer type affair.

Off white rocky head stayed on a dark copper coloured still body. Sweet malt & syrupy aroma. Medium bodied, feels thick & chewy on the palate with a cloying back - minimal carbonation. Bitter berries, sweet malt, spices & stone fruit tastes.
