rublov (192) - Cracow, POLAND - MAR 21, 2021

GTAEgeek (4269) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 10, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 10, 2021 330 mL bottle. Pours a dark, brown color, with a medium, fine, foamy, tan head. The aroma is cloves, butter toffee, banana bread, cinnamon, and pipe tobacco. Sweet and yeasty, with a drying, lightly bitter finish. Medium body, with a creamy, lively mouthfeel. This is a beautiful and delicious beer.

UPDATED: MAR 3, 2021 First attempt at four, the first appearance is normal, foam dissipate quickly, dark brown and black liquor, nose to smell is caramel and nutty, nutty taste and drink before franklin Roosevelt felt almost 6, the entrance is sweet, like caramel cookies, drink before double feel very have pressure, now felt ordinary four material, but alcohol feeling stayed above the mouth

theprof (3068) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 28, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 28, 2021 33cl bottle while in Italy. Aroma is dark malts and yeast and spice. Looks good. Dark body that reddens when held to the light; creamy lace top with some yeast spots. Taste is medium sweet with dark fruits and some sour spiciness. Texture is medium bodied with a slightly granular texture with average carbonation and a long finish. The mouthfeel complements the complexity of the taste. I am still filling in my scorecard of Belgian beers drunk before but never rated. I should probably have allowed one to age a little as the aroma from this was good without being great and the taste was complex but rather diffuse; the sour notes did not blend with the rest. It remains a beer that deserves revisiting and respect.

AlePupil43 (13) - - FEB 13, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 13, 2021 Completely dark opaque color, cannot see through. Beautiful long lasting off-white head. Sweet malty and raisiny aroma, dark fruits. Malty and dark taste, with exceptional mouthfeel. No ethanol that I can detect, even though it is 9% ABV. Overall: It's pleasant and not too complex. I would pick Rochefort 8 over this, but there is certainly nothing wrong with this lovely Chimay Blue. I would buy again.
