From 2d2dspuma. In Grimbergen glass. Playing Avernum 2. Fine. Plenty of spices, nothing excessive but taking protagonism over belgian strong dark ale notes and giving it a truly wintery feel Lowenbrau (5306) - Asturias, SPAIN - JUL 26, 2017

Some high alcohols-fusels both in nose and palate, palate warmers, making it a bit harsh in the long distance. Overall acceptable.
33cl bottle (8% - as Cerveza Winter Ale) from some shop in Altea. Pours dark Coca-Cola coloured with a modest off-white head. Mild spicy aroma, malty with hints of dark fruits and chocolate. Medium to moderate sweet with mild flavours of Christmas spices and roasted malt. Tasty, balanced and enjoyable. Rune (16187) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 8, 2016
330ml bottle, 8 % abv, as Cerveza Winter Ale 2015 from a tourist shop in Altea. Lasting fawn-coloured head to a coal black body. Spotty lacing. Rich dark chocolate malty smell, ashy. Flavoured with honeyed fruits, prunes, chocolate and a backdrop of coffee. Slightly roasted to the finish. Smooth in the mouth. Tasty even in the summertime (shared with Esben at their place in La Vila Joiosa, 04.06.2016). Blodhild (5) - NORWAY - DEC 17, 2015 does not count
