On tap at Brewdog. Pours dark brown, almost black colour. Thin beige head. Super beautiful roast, coffee, chocolate, roasted nuts, notes of coffee in the aroma. Coffee, notes of coffee beans, dark chocolate, cocoa beans in the taste. Bitterness, coffee, cocoanibs in the aftertaste. Bitterness as well. I like this brew.

A dark head (but not much of it) with a heavy, malty nose. Fleeting hints of vanilla and kirsch (and, alas, a touch of paper!). The texture is syrupy and the tongue taste rather bitter - the coffee (literally present as such in this one) is mostly a mouth and after-flavour component. Geek Breakfast is rather strong, so I'm wondering whether it really ought to be listed in the 'simple stout' category. Is it special? Yes, definitely. But somehow not for me, and I don't think I am able to do it justice. I don't find it 'typical' enough, not as a stout, not even as a beer (this could be due to the genuine coffee contained in it). In Germany, it is very expensive - and personally, it's not 'mine' enough for me to willingly pay the price. It would probably be a good after-dinner beer for people who don't like too much sweetness. But as I say, not for me.

This is the definition of an oatmeal stout! Attractive black pour with a thin mocha head & decent lacing. The aroma is dominated by dark chocolate with a hint of coffee and booze. The flavor is chocolate up front followed by the dryness from the oatmeal and a touch of bitterness from the coffee in the finish. The roastiness makes it a bit more of a sipping beer but this is complex and fantastic overall!

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2018 330ml bottle. Black, with little carbonation. Strong coffee, smoke, oak and leather. Smooth and rich, burnt flavour.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2018 Strong and coffee-like. But not as bold as I expected.the depth isn’t totally there to make it fantastic. Mikkeller berlin

From the bottle. Black with a reddish-brown cut, scattered foam. Complex and inviting aroma of vanilla, coffee, dark chocolate, kokus, dish. Smooth, soft and sweet in the mouth, taste of coffee and vanilla. Full body. Successful brew!

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2018 Tap @ KeyKeg International Beer Festival, Den Helder IX 2018.

Great color and foam. Lots of coffee. A little bit sour but very good palate
