50 cl black can. Pours pitch black with a one finger thick tan creamy head. Didn't make the typical "plop" sound of a full bodied stout. Roasted malts, coffee and oats aroma. Taste is full of roasted coffee beans, bitter but balanced by sweeter cerealy notes. Long roasty bitter finish and aftertaste. Body is not as thin as I read, mouthfeel is creamy and carbonation is lively. Another nice stout from Mikkeller.

On tap at Beer Time, Nitra. Pitch black colour with medium brown head, aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate. Taste is intensive, strong coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, some sourness, light sweetness, high on bitterness, long coffee finish. Amazing.

Bottle sample @ De Prins, Rhenoy tasting with Sussanne and Gijs. Dark brown to black with a tan head. Black coffee aroma with lots of roasted malts and some hazelnuts. Taste is coffeebitter. Smooth mouthfeel with a chocolate finish. Very nice breakfast stout.

Aroma: Nice good quality coffee, it would be fantastic if it was more intensive! Fruity coffee, chocolate, cherries and nuts. Earthy, floral and roasted notes. Appearance: Black with little, creamy, brown head. Taste: Bitter and quite dry, minimal acidity. Good bitter coffee aftertaste. Palate: Quite silky and smooth, although I expected a bit more. Medium body, low carbonation. Overall: Very good coffee stout, but certainly not the best I have had. I would expect more oatmeal smoothness and more intensive coffee aromas.

[backlog z notatek] btl. W aromacie dominuje nuta orzecha włoskiego. W smaku mocna, kwaśna kawa, wiśnie, orzechy. Bardzo wysokie nasycenie.

Do not consider myself a geek but I do like Mikkeller and beer also. The single 330 ml bottle was spotted at a nice beer and wine retailer in Santa Fe, NM many months ago. An unseasonable chilly day moved me to bring out the bottle for a sampling. The pour is made into my ABGB tulip glass, a rich dark brown body shows up accompanied by a here-and-gone light tan ring of foam. I tilt the glass for a smell. Cocoa and vanilla. But all that is preliminary to the taste, how about that, quite unusual. Strong with coffee, the chocolate is minimal if not gone, cereal, toast, burned pecans, quite malty. It improves with warming. I do not believe I would buy again for myself but certainly would to share with someone uninitiated just to see get their reaction.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2018 Zwykly stout, co prawda mniej wodnisty i bardziej kawowy niz krajowe odpowiedniki, ale mam wrazenie ze nawet najlepszy podstawowy stout bedzie gorszy od sredniej jakosci imperialnego

UPDATED: APR 21, 2018 Bottle. Color: Black, light brown head. Taste: Dark roasted malt, coffee and mocha notes. Hints of cocoa. Medium bitter, moderate sweet. Long lasting bitter earthy finish. Over medium body, bit creamy, under average carbonation. Very likeable. I like the mocha notes, but overall I think I'm missing some complexity but I can't tell exactly what it is. Curious to try one of the BA versions.

Pite wczoraj z okazji urodzin Marcina D.
Kawa, kawa, kawa.
Słowem, hajp słuszny i zasłużony.
