If you were in a pub sometime between 1821 and 1970, chances are this is the Guinness you would have been drinking. Originally brewed as the XX version of our Porter, it’s hoppy, roasty, and crisp, with a bittersweet finish.

Well yeah, it’s a monument. Love one now and then. Aroma of burnt malts, coffee beans, lactic, cream. Pours dark red, Brown black, with a small lasting creamy head. Taste is a bit malt, a bit bitter, coffee. Weak mouthfeel, flat feeling.

Bottle poured into imperial pint. Pours dark brown with thick, quickly vanishing head. Nose of roasted barley, dark malts. Taste, metallic watery roasty. Finish herbal hops...

11.2 oz. bottle, consumed on 2-13-17. Pours an amber-tinted medium to dark brown with a moderate to large amount of beige head. Clear liquid. Good lacing. Nice color and nice head. Looks good. Chocolate and cocoa scents. “English” yeast smell. Some dry grapefruit in the aroma. Roasted malts and clay in the smell. Lemon tartness above a burnt malt base. Old fashioned British Isles macro ale. Light body. Thin. Otherwise unremarkable palate effects. Too low in flavor to impress though certainly better than the unfortunately ubiquitous Guinness Draught.

Barwa ciemno br?zowa, miejscami rubinowa. Piana jasno br?zowa, drobno ziarnista, jest wysoka i trwa?a. Aromat suchy, palony, trawiasty. Kawowe nuty mieszaj? si? z akcentami popio?owymi i barbeque. W smaku jest zdecydowanie kawa a w tle delikatnie pojawia si? gorzka czekolada. Ca?o?? wzbogacona jest o kawow? goryczk?, jest krótka, niska. Nasycenie ?rednie, pasuje, brakuje mi tylko jeszcze wiecej pe?ni gdy? tutaj zdecydowanie brakuje cia?a.

Bottle. Nose is lactose, smoke, sweet malt. Taste earth, smoke, malt slight sour. Short sweet malt finish. It’s the best beer you can usually get from a bad place. Amazed I’d not rated it

Ziemlich dunkel, im Licht schimmert es aber noch etwas rot durch. Leider wenig Schaumbildung. Leicht säuerliches Aroma, Sauerteig. Milder Antrunk, cremige Textur. Gute Malznote, auch im abgang. Könnte insgesamt etwas mehr Körper haben. Gut trinkbar.
