Scopey (19305) - Oldmeldrum, SCOTLAND - OCT 3, 2018
Keg at Friends of Ham. It pours darkest brown with a thick beige head. The aroma is rich, oily, slightly medicinal, dark fruits, fruit, cake dried berry and the like. The taste is not too disimilar, dry, oily, oak, leather, dark fruits, Eccles cake, toasted sugar, slightly vinous, liquorice and some arming alcohol through the finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Never too sweet. Robust and punchy. Decent stuff.

k0mpsa (3777) - Tuusula, FINLAND - JUN 29, 2018
Tap at brewdog berlin. Black color, small brown head. Aroma has plums, alcohol, cognac, oak. Little bit sour taste, roasted notes, oak, plums. Alcohol is little bit pushing.

MiP (17089) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUN 11, 2018
Draught at Basement Beer Bar. Distinct port a good raisin aroma. Pungent and good. Clear dark brown colour. Honey and port flavour. Good bitterness. Mild alcohol burn. Smells great and tastes good.

theprof (2257) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2018
Keg at The Keans Head Nottingham. Pours murky brown with fleeting thin halo. Aroma is boozy, more than the Imperial that preceded this folly. But it has dark fruit and spice and oak vanilla. Taste is medium to full sweet but with alcoholic heat. Palate is medium bodied, sticky texture, soft to flat carbonation and a sweet lingering finish. If you like fruitcake desserts this will please but it could do with less booze.

Borup (18445) - Albertslund, DENMARK - MAY 8, 2018
Sample at Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. A brown coloured beer with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, hops, whiskey, caramel, wood and licorice.

Bov (14988) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAR 22, 2018
from Bierkeller Au Trappiste - dark beer with a poor head retention; aroma of molasses and licorice; full-bodied, hugely sweet, sticky, late bitterness; aftertaste of marshmallows, prunes and licorice, hints of honey - the name says it: heavy

9th September 2017
Beaverfest Day 2. Keg. Hazy deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry and with decent fine minerally carbonation. Sweet malts, sweet caramel and light cream. Smooth bourbon soaked fruits. Sweet floralness. More obvious bourbon on the crisp finish. Light and drinkable!
