COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is caramel malt, toffee, nuts, almonds, dried fruits, raisins, syrup, candied prunes, spicy notes, mild oak, vanilla, with some alcohol. Flavour is quite sweet and syrupy. Body is full. Way too sweet for its own good, but aroma is nice, resulting in a decent slow sipper.

23/IX/17 - on tap @ Borefts Bierfestival 2017 (Bodegraven) - BB: n/a (2017-1671) Thanks to ratebeerians and friends for sharing today's beers!

Clear bright purple brown beer, creamy off-white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lovely stuff, malty, grains, sweet caramel, sugary, very complex, nice things going on here! MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: orange peel, very sweet and sugary, lots and lots of alcohol, more sugar, a bit too sweet, some molasses. Aftertaste: little bitter, sugary, quite alcoholic, lots of dried fruits, caramel, banana, yeasty. Decent and intense beer!

Clear dark brownish color with a fine off white head. Ok lacing. Ok intensity in the aroma. Full body. Mild bitterness and a balanced fine sweetness. Average to soft carbonation. Balanced sweet dried fruits, some spices, mild oak and toffee. Well hidden alcohol. Ok tasty evening sipper!

Really nice aroma but a bit too sweet for imitating a Belgian. A little disappointing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Røør, Oslo. Oak barrels, intense sweetness, dried fruit, sherry, bourbon. For your most stinky cheese, your most crunchy nuts and your coldest night.

Sigmund (8033) - Tau, NORWAY - NOV 10, 2017
330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 15%. Deep brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma of malts, brown kandij sugar, molasses, oak, alcohol and some fusel, hints of candied orange peel. Very sweet flavour (too sweet), alcoholic, notes of brown kandij sugar, oak and dark dried fruits. Warming mouthfeel. The brewery's ambitions have obviously been high here, but the result is not entirely successful. Won't buy again.
