COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tradisjonell bokkøl. Ølet er mørkt, maltprega og akkurat passe sterkt. Med fullkomen balanse mellom søtleik og bitterheit, er dette ein fin følgjesvein for tradisjonell julemat og kraftige ostar.

Nordcore (1668) - Lyngen alps, NORWAY - DEC 14, 2017

TBone (18411) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 14, 2017
Bottled 330ml (Vinmonopolet)

Deep ruby colour, small beige head. Caramel, maltyness in the nose. Medium-bodied. Sweetish malty German-style dark bock. Clean. As it is quite sweet one, probably best with food.

NORSAND (119) - Lillestrøm, NORWAY - DEC 2, 2017
Medium dark reddish brown colour. Nice colour. Small head.
Nose: Initially rye & wheat bread dough, yeast. Then, as it opens up; sweet malt, caramel and some smoke.
Taste: Malt, some rye, some smoke, slightly spicy. The arrival is sweater than the exit, where dark malt bitterness and perhaps some hops bitterness catch up with the sweetness of the malt. Medium body and medium low carbonation. I have to say that this is quite well balanced but after the raving reviews I had hoped for more complexity. Brewed only two months ago, will probably have improved noticeably already by Christmas. And it does improve with time in the glass...

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours almost clear deep amber/copper with a small head. Aroma is malty, toffee and caramel. Taste is smooth malty, not too sweet, just suitable for me, weak dry herbal finish.

[Copenhagen 2017] Draft sample @ SKAAL. Very dark amber, cough syrup. Smell is DE fish guts, syrup, cough syrup, cloying soap. Taste is heavy candy cough syrup, DE fish guts, very heavy & cloying, bit much for me.
