Shared bottle at RBHD, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of tar, chocolate and dark roasted malts. Taste is light sweet dark malts, rope and tar, some good liquorice, dry lingering finish. Sigmund (8475) - Tau, NORWAY - JUN 9, 2018
Shared 500 ml bottle. Black colour, tan head. The aroma has mild roasty malty notes, chocolate and mild coffee, moderate vanilla. Lovely roasty flavour with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla, a little lactose sweetness. Bamsen78 (6000) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - APR 1, 2018
Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with stable tan head. Clear aroma of yeast and malt, with notes of liquorice and hops. Bitter, roasty flavour of coffee, with notes of dark chocolate, malt and yeast and hints of fruit. Roasty and estery aftertaste. Not sweet. Well-balanced and good. Trolle (142) - - FEB 14, 2018

[ As Flying Couch Black Ice ].
Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, coffee, light vanilla, light chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate - vanilla, roasted, dark malt, coffee, lacto notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Copenhagen 4/2-2018. 50 cl bottle from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus. Simple black label with Flying Couch' fairly weird logo and the name of the beer. Pours deep brown - almost black - with beige head. Settles as patchy layer of uneven foam with big bubbles and lacing. Massive lacing. Aroma is strong, sweet and intense. Aroma is coffee, vanilla, molasses and brown sugar. A little roastiness as well. Soft carbonation and soft, oily, thick palate. Flavor has strong sweetness but nicely balanced by prominent coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is fairly bitter and heavy. A true winter beer - heavy, well balanced and thick. Dedollewaitor (17038) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 25, 2018
Tap @ Flakhaven, Odense. Pours Black with a Short White head. Roasted nose and flavor. Ashy and chalky. Charcoal. CloakedDagger (3279) - - JAN 25, 2018
Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a small, roughish light brown head. In the nose I get the peat immediately, disgusting, greasy iodine - and after that a sweeter, pleasant subtle roast base. Rich, malty body. Again sweet roast, a little vanilla and some late, roasty bitterness. The peat is less pronounced in the flavor - luckily. Probably would've been great without the peat, now it's just OK. 250117 RasmusOtt (3075) - Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 30, 2017
Tap @ basement beer bar. Pours black with a brown head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, sweet lactose, coffee, oatmeal and slight dark sweet fruits. The taste is creamy and gentle with sweet notes of vanilla and lactose. Also some more roasted coffee notes, Cocoa beans and roasted sweet malts. Enjoyable!
