UPDATED: FEB 22, 2019 On nitro at the Ferm. Lately I've been into low ABV dark beers, and brewed a couple myself. This is a superb take on the style (and puts my efforts to shame, lol.) Simple, flavorful, and delicious. Pumpernickel, dark chocolate, dark coffee. Strong on the palate but still smooth. Nothing is where it shouldn't be. On tap at the Fermentaria with Alex.
Jet black opaque with a dense, thick 3-finger brown head.
Nose is roasty malts and dark chocolate.
Taste is roasty with dark chocolate and some nice burnt flavors coming through. Deep and rich.
Palate is luscious, dense and creamy. Heavy medium with the nitro really shining through.
Overall, the best of the 3 beers I️ tried today at tired hands and an excellent example of how nitro can help make a dark beer fantastic! mcberko (30760) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 10, 2018
On nitro tap at Tired Hands Fermentaria, pours black with a small nitro light brown head. Aroma brings out dry cocoa upfront, with toasted malt. Flavour reveals dry but rich cocoa upfront, with a smooth toasted malt base. Man, this really nails the style. Impressive. mansquito (10880) - Nueva York, New York, USA - JUL 1, 2018
At Fermenteria: pours dark brown with a bwige head. Aroma is nutty and chocolate. Taste is pretzels, burnt malts, some bitterness. Very light. Nice hoppy notes. nimbleprop (11385) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 27, 2018
4oz pour, comes a translucent near black 2with some creamy, beige head. Nose is nice, toasty, malty, bready, nuts, some dark brown sugar. Flavor is so spot on, malt, toast, licorice, dough, brown sugar, a little mushroom. Finishes lightly watery and just off dry. Really well done.

Draft at the Fermentaria with Linh and Ken. Pours a deep brownish black body with thick tan head. Lots of mild roast up front; notes of burnt chocolate and soft pine. Nice, pleasant roasty beer. djd07 (20217) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 3, 2018
On nitro at the brewery. Pours black with medium beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is roasted malt and dark chocolate. Medium body, cocoa, roast, pine, bitter, dry finish, very good. AirForceHops (10953) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 24, 2018
8 oz. draft at the Fermentaria. A near black appearance, thin head. Aroma shows coffee, Ash, roasted grain, and toffee. Flavor is a reflection with a little bit of bitterness and ash the balance any sweet flavors. For such a low ABV beer it has a ton of flavor. Not sure how close to the German guideline it is but it is a nice brew. DiarmaidBHK (7494) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 14, 2018
Taster at Fermenteria. Pours black with a khaki head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Huge roasted malt, coffee, and rye notes on the nose and tongue. Finished clean. Very nice. j12601 (14609) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JAN 6, 2018
On tap at the brewery. Pours a deep black with cola brown highlights under a medium sized tan head that falls steadily into thin lacing. Roast with a touch of cocoa and a hint of chocolate. Medium bodied, soft roast and cocoa, dries a touch. Slow bitterness. Very easy drinking, almost a bit watery, but a good amount of flavor here. Very nice.
