COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Bottle. Pours dark amber with an almost two fingers thick slightly off white head. Sweet malty and biscuity aroma, with light citrusy, some pine notes and aromatic herbal undertones. Taste is quite sweet at first, very malt forward, a liquid biscuit almost, but the hoppy bitterness comes out boldly in the finish and the lingering aftertaste, without becoming excessive though. Solid and very well balanced, definitely an old school IPA and a good alternative to my beloved Founders Centennial IPA.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2018 It pours clear deep golden color with long lasting medium sized head. Foam leaves some laces. It smells strongly of grapefruit, pine and slightly biscuity malts. Taste is moderately hoppy bitter with citrusy and resiny notes, but caramelly grainy sweetness supports the balance. Not complex as I expected. Dry finish. Well hidden Abv. Med-full bodied and moderate carbonation. Not very exciting, but it's easy drinkable for strong IPA.

pint can from dan murphys 210618 can't really smell much. real mild aroma. cloudy lookin ipa. oh and it tastes like it too. nicely bitter and the hops are unbelievably present. i like this… light carbonation, beautiful bitter finish. haute de gamme for flavour for me. this has to be one of the best tasting beers in this price range ($6.50AU for a pint can). definitely going to be hitting this more regularly as the warmer months roll around again. x…

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2018 Copper color with thick foam and lacing. Intense resiny hops aroma. Flavor has just a hint of sweet malt followed by a strong, intense, lingering resin taste. Overpowering bitter hop aftertaste.
