UPDATED: MAY 28, 2023 Wygląd: piana bardzo obfita, biała, drobne i średnie pecherzyki, trwałość naprawdę solidna, odrobina zostaje na szkle. Piwo złociste, idealnie klarowne. Wyglada wzorowo. Aromat: delikatne słodowe nuty w postaci świeży wypieczonego biszkoptu, trochę kandyzowane cukru, albo bardziej kandyzowanych owocow, jansych typu morele, jasne rodzynki. Trochę ziół i przypraw. Smak: w ustach słodowe, średnio pełne, po przełknięciu szybko przechodzi w wytrawne, ziolowe, lekko trawiaste, odrobine ściągające w sposób ziołowy i przyprawowy. Generalnie jest ok, ale chyba wole wersja bardziej słodowe i owocowe niż wytrawne i ziołowe przyprawowe. Ale jest niezłe.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2023 Bottle. Had this one long ago, before my Ratebeer time. Finally taste it again for a 'normal' price. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Malty. Taste: Malty, floral notes, yeasty hints. Light hopbitterness. Subtle fruity notes of stone fruit. Moderate to over moderate sweet. Medium body, below average carbonation. Definitely one of the better Blonds I've had. Westvleteren still brews some of the best Trappist beers.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2023 Pours light amber with a frothy white head. Aroma of bread, some spice. Taste has cinnamon, nutmeg, more spice, some pleasant ferrous notes. Palate has some light fruity notes, more spice notes, pleasant, hints of grassy malt. Quite good. Thanks to Erzengel!!

UPDATED: APR 9, 2023 And the next big thank you to Erzengel for this bottle. Again gushing reaction. BB 28.??.23 on the cap. Got lost 20% into the sink. Cloudy golden in the glass. Smooth grainy, low but present fruity on the nose. Grainy smell, caramel, increasing bitterness. Some apricot. Expected way more.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2023 Very drinkable blond, very smooth. Not that bitter, bot much acidity, but a still a nice maltiness to it and a small hint of fruity aroma. Some settlement at the bottom.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2023 'Trappist Westvleteren Bier Blond', Fläschchen aus Tausch mit Pivnizub - Dank in den Pott! - Orangegelb, trüb. - In der Nase recht süßes Malz mit Weizen, obergärige Hefe, ein wenig Kandis, reife Aprikose und subtile hopfenwürzige Herbe mit Tiefgang. - Antrunk satt hefig hellmalzig mit der für belgische Blonde typischen, etwas plumpen Malzsüße, hier aber konterkariert durch kräftige herb-fruchtige Züge, alten Hopfen und überhaupt deutliche Altersnoten ('Pferdedecke'?). Gut rezent. Im Abgang immer deutlicher werdene Hopfenbittere mit krautig-scharfen Zügen und ranzigen Altersnoten. - Mal ein leichteres Trappistenbier, aber nicht so einfach gestrickt wie viele Blonde sondern mit eigenwilligen Aromen und mit Tiefgang, aber auch irgendwie überaltert. UPDATED: DEC 23, 2022 BESTES BLOND!!! Das Westvleteren Blond ist das dritte Bier der legentären Trappistenbrauerei und meine Erwartungen sind hoch. Es kommt goldgelb und trüb ins Glas und hat eine perfekte, cremige, üppige und standfeste Schaumkrone. Der Geruch nach Apfelmost mit Pfirsich gleitet in Richtung Perfum ab. Wahnsinn! Beim Antrunk kommt der Pfirsich mit dem typischen Hefegeschmack des Blonde rüber. Die Hefe ist eine der besten, die ich bisher getrunken habe. Vielleicht züchten die Mönche sie selbst? Dabei ist das Bier trocken und zeigt brotige Ansätze, sowie Nelke und Banane. Die Aromen sind so toll aufeinander abgestimmt, dass man sich fragt 'washalb sind nicht alle Biere so??' Wir haben eine mittlere Rezenz, was ich bei so einem tollen Bier aber gut finde, damit es in allen Facetten genossen werden kann. Beim Abgang geringe Bitterkeit ohne neue Ansätze, wie beim Blonde üblich. Ich habe nun eine direkte Konkurrenz zu dem Delirium Tremens, das ich bisher als bestes Blonde hatte. Das Westvleteren ist mindestens gleichwertig und durch die außergewöhnlich gute Hefe ein Spitzenbier. Für mich sind die Biere gleichwertig, ich werde jedoch eine direkte Challange zwischen den beiden arrangieren. 06-2020

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2022 Bottle. Pours a hazy pale orange colour with a tight fluffy white head, the aroma plenty of fruit in the aroma, the taste is medium bitterness with a dry fruity bitter finish.
