COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Andechser Weissbier Hefetrüb.

When summer is on the way and the days invite you to swim, ramble, climb, or simply enjoy the outdoors, you will discover that an Andechser Weissbier Hell is just the right thing to quench your thirst. Since Saint Joseph’s Day on 19 March 1993, Andechs Weissbier Hell has found many new friends. Untreated and bottled in its natural state of yeasty turbidity, this is a top fermented beer for the epicure. Its light honey colour makes it an immediate eyecatcher. Then there’s the opalescence and fine structure of the yeast turbidity. At the same time, the creamy, fine pored head invites you to get to know this light Weissbier from the Holy Mountain. You’ll need two takes to enjoy the aromas to the full. First, distinctive fruity aromas like banana and honeydew melon come to the fore, followed by fine cloves. Andechser Weissbier Hell is a very tangy, refreshing treat with the conviction of a full, soft body. It concludes on a finely balanced interplay of light sweet honey and a delicate acidity with undertones of bitter hoppiness that quickly subside into a harmonious aftertaste. A Weissbier that embodies a slice of the Andechs lifestyle: finely yeasty, tangy, and sparkling, it refreshes and renews the thirst for more (original extract: 12.5%; abv: 5.5%).

Hodně dobrý pšeničák s tóny ananasu, banánu, plnou nasládlou chutí a hustou krémovou pěnou.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2018 On tap at Janoinen Lohi, Helsinki. Pours hazy golden with a medium-sized white head; spot on for a wheat beer. The aroma features sweetish grainy maltiness, strong fruitiness and some spiciness. Taste is wheaty, fruity and spicy. Pronounced yeast profile with a touch of banana and solid malt base underneath; not much wrong here. The palate is medium-bodied, smooth and low to average in carbonation. Refreshing and tasty, on par with the classic hefeweizens.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2018 Smells a bit like unsalted bacon. Just a little head and a nice foggy yellow in the glass. Huge banana and orange flavour, slight sweetness, a bit of freshly squeezed orange. Medium finish. A nice flavourful weissbier, memorable for sure.

Classic Hefeweizen. Pours hazy yellow with decent white head. Beautiful aroma of banana and grain. Surprisingly, there is no banana flavour, which is typical for so many Weizen. This one is more on the savory end, with a focus on grainy flavours, yet relatively mild after all. Good Weizen.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8487) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 15, 2018
Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a murky amber-tan color with a huge creamy yellow-white head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet and yeasty with a bit of dustiness, faint citrus and clove. The flavor was sweet and yeasty with citrus, clove and bread crust. Long yeasty finish. Medium body. Solid.

Aroma is medium hoppy, light yeasty with banana, citrus and fresh grass. Cloudy light to medium yellow color with a big white frothy good lasting head. Flavor is moderate sweet light bitter with orange and light banana notes. Body is medium, carbonation is soft, mouthfeel is thin to creamy. Finish is good balanced, light sweet, short. A very good one, but I had it after Schneider Weisse Tap 5, so I'm a bit hard to convince of this beer. 0,5l bottle.

Draught @ Andechser am Dom, München. Smooth, slightly yeasty and ripe fruity hefeweizen with some notes of banana and citrus. Okay, quite balanced.

[email protected] Golden hefehazy. Lovely clovey ripe banana on nose, malted wheat sweetness. Med bodied, clean good banana estery flaboured. Real nice. Probly the most characteristic weiss since weihenstephan. Love it. And so soft smooth fresh..
