COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Andechser Weissbier Hefetrüb.

When summer is on the way and the days invite you to swim, ramble, climb, or simply enjoy the outdoors, you will discover that an Andechser Weissbier Hell is just the right thing to quench your thirst. Since Saint Joseph’s Day on 19 March 1993, Andechs Weissbier Hell has found many new friends. Untreated and bottled in its natural state of yeasty turbidity, this is a top fermented beer for the epicure. Its light honey colour makes it an immediate eyecatcher. Then there’s the opalescence and fine structure of the yeast turbidity. At the same time, the creamy, fine pored head invites you to get to know this light Weissbier from the Holy Mountain. You’ll need two takes to enjoy the aromas to the full. First, distinctive fruity aromas like banana and honeydew melon come to the fore, followed by fine cloves. Andechser Weissbier Hell is a very tangy, refreshing treat with the conviction of a full, soft body. It concludes on a finely balanced interplay of light sweet honey and a delicate acidity with undertones of bitter hoppiness that quickly subside into a harmonious aftertaste. A Weissbier that embodies a slice of the Andechs lifestyle: finely yeasty, tangy, and sparkling, it refreshes and renews the thirst for more (original extract: 12.5%; abv: 5.5%).

tfontana (2314) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 4, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 4, 2020 Bottle pour from Colonial Spirits, Acton. Appearance is lightly hazy yellow with nice sparkle, thin cap of white head receding to persistent ring and no lacing. Aroma is wheat, yeast, fruity esters. Taste is strong wheat, fruity esters, mild banana. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, soft-to-average carbonation and crisp finish as taste. Overall, great representative of the style.

floydian1 (1774) - FNQ, Australia, - DEC 5, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2019 500ml bottle with BB 15/5/20. Murky dark yellow pour, good weizen white head. This Bavarian wheat beer is big on the sweet bananary esters and bready malts but less so on the clove-like spiciness. Quite sweet, full body, lively mouthfeel.

domination_94 (90) - SPAIN - NOV 26, 2019

BarrelMonger107 (134) - GREECE - OCT 2, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2019 One of the most balance 'Hefeweizen' beers i have drink.. All here is amazing balance and awesome.. Nothing can affect you to not enjoy this beer.. First of all the taste is great like some other classic 'Hefeweizen' beers but with little less spiciness.. This beer is little more on 'Franziskaner hefe' beer but with little less sweetness and spiciness but definitely more soft than 'Paulaner'.. The body is medium and the carbonation is little high but its ok.. In fact the carbonation push the beer in your stomach very smooth.. Also is little watery and that make it dangerous drinkable.. Overall the most balance 'HefeWeizen' beer i have drink today and after 'Franziskaner' my second favorite of the style.. All here is great and very refreshing..

coasternut (385) - VANCOUVER, Washington, USA - SEP 14, 2019
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2019 Has the slight taste of a Belgian, clove and banana yeast. Small head that stays for a while. The aroma is more wheat and clove. Pours slightly hazy with a nice golden color. Very good beer , but not what I would expect from a Hef.
