The beer was a pleasant, reddish amber colour with a foamy head on top that was slightly patchy on the surface after a minute or so. There was a definite sweetness to the beer with some malts on the nose as well before some caramel & marzipan started to come through as well as some toffee further on. The taste was quite similar with a caramel sweetness & plenty of malts. Some biscuit flavours make an appearance & the beer was lightly carbonated with a medium body that was easy to drink without being too exciting. It was a nice offering & one that I enjoyed more than the Blonde version as I recall, although it's been a good few years since I last tried that one.

Lightly malt aroma with caramel. First taste has lightly roasty malts und a fine sweetness with a middle body. The aftertaste is also sweet. The beer has hardly bitterness. hauxe (1666) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - MAR 25, 2018
Pours amber from the bottle. A frothy head settles to a stable, creamy layer. Aroma is quite malty — full of caramel, honey and a touch floral. Taste is okay but less interesting, sweet up front with a somewhat lackluster, brittle, mildly bitter finish. Body is medium, carbonation is soft. Decent. dohotaruvlad (124) - Bucharest, ROMANIA - JAN 28, 2018
Wet cellar aroma, with something sweet and earthy. Nice rocky head,
thick texture, long pleasant finish, beautiful pale amber color. Taste is medium sweet, alcohol is well disguised. Really nice to meet you, France! Ravnstone (434) - - NOV 3, 2017
