UPDATED: AUG 2, 2018 Aroma has roasted coffee malts with light toffee notes. Pours dark with thin tan lace halo. Taste is medium sweet with a little alcohol heat in the finish. Palate is medium bodied smooth texture average carbonation and a languid coffee finish. Not bad at all.

Draught at The Bailiff's Tap, Banbury, Oxon. Jet black with tan head. This proved to be a rich and very smooth, silky beer, some malty, boozy sweetness, roasted coffee notes with a light bitterness. There is a touch of vanilla with a woody hint. Really delicious.

Towey1989 (4429) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2018
Keg at The Beer Cellar, Exeter. A deep brown to black colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of coffee, caramel, slight lactose and subtle red berry acidity. Taste of coffee, roasted malts, some caramel, slight chocolate and subtle brown sugar. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A short, dryish, roasted malt bitterness in the finish with a touch of acidity in th aftertaste. Not a bad coffee stout, sweet aroma and more roast on the flavour. Would prefer a little thicker.

(Keg at Kitty's, 20180515) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had coffee, burnt malts and ash. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, liquorice, coffee, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, ashy and bitter. A otherwise pleasant burnt brew but bit too ashy.
