UPDATED: MAY 30, 2023 Draught@HBF2018. Black colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is coffee, some nutty notes, mild alcohol as well as some ripe fruits, raisins and mild plummy tones. Flavour is figs, coffee, mild roast, some liquorice root, mild nutty and ripe fruity notes as well. Nice balance on the coffee and roast along with the sweetness of it.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2019 Keg @ Victorian Craft Beer Cafe, Halifax. Black with a thick creamy off-white head. It has a full smoothish coffee roasted aroma and taste.

Keg at st Andrews potterrow. Pours black, nose is burnt malts, coffee, roasted, some caramel, taste is bitter, roasted coffee, dark chocolate, a hint of sweetness.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2019 Growler from stoneworks Peterborough. Jet black colour with a tan head. Aroma burnt coffee taste roasted bitter. Full body.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2019 1/2 pint from cask @ Angleterre. Pours very dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is roasted malts with some chocolate. Flavor is sweet roasted malts with some hops. Good.

ABV: 7.4%. Clear medium to dark black brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, light burnt, light coffee - chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, dark malt, roasted, coffee - chocolate, light burnt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20181018]
