Pours a dark brown body with creamy light brown head, looking good. Simple yet refined toffee malts, dry chocolate hints, nutmeg and no hops. Dimmed yet full carbonation to match a classic malt based profile with a dark side. It may be classic but not so much for a French brewer and actually very well executed. Not the richness of high abv (imperial) stouts, obviously, but well made and very nicely drinkable. A surprise! (75cl bottle from Au Nom De La Bière) Christian (15175) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 3, 2010
