UPDATED: APR 10, 2019 Cheese mildew, straw, some fruit in flavor. Golden beer, transparent and without foam. Taste is poorer in flavor, sour green apple, citric acid. The body is medium, carbonation is low. superspak (8129) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - MAR 24, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 24, 2019 375 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2014 vintage. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, pineapple, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, hay, straw, wet wood, leathery/musty funk, wheat, cracker, white bread, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, oak barrel, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, pineapple, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, hay, straw, wet wood, leathery/musty funk, wheat, cracker, white bread, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tart/sourness, Brett tang, and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, pineapple, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, peppercorn, hay, straw, wet wood, leathery/musty funk, wheat, cracker, white bread, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, oak barrel, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/sour/tangy and yeast/oak spiciness balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering sour/tang/tartness and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, acidic/tangy/tannic, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. No warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is an outstanding Belgian gueuze. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, oak barrel, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink, with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish, not overly lactic. Fantastic classic barnyard Brett/Bacteria complexity, with great oak presence, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. For a budget priced lambic this was pretty amazing. Hits all expectations for the style, compared to many other more highly regarded brands. tricksta_p (7127) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - FEB 2, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 2, 2019 Bottle from De Bierverteller, Utrecht. Tart fruity aroma with apricot, citrus, grain, some barnyard, apples, lemon, fruit peel. Flavour is tart and nicely sour, some sweetness. Body is medium. A bit crude for a Gueuze, lacks complexity, but as a Sour Ale it's quite pleasant. The_Osprey (10532) - SCOTLAND - NOV 17, 2018
UPDATED: NOV 18, 2018 Nov 2018 - 375ml (incredibly stubborn) cork and cap bottle at home in Richmond watching Scotland v SA. As 'Cuvée Chapeau Lambic Oude Gueuze', 5.5%, BB Nov 2020 (3 years old? has been around a while!). Pale amber orange, clear and sparkling, minimal head. Aroma is musty and old, intense souring peach, grapefruit and caramel. Mmm nice. Body is smooth with tingly to fizzy carbonation. Taste is tangy peach, the syrup from tropical fruit salad, intense juicy stone fruit. Quite intense and slow drinking. Rounded with an integrated acidity. Really nice - I imagine the age has helped this a lot. As good as the hype stuff for me. (9-3-8-4-16=4.0) dfearnley (3032) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 11, 2018
Aroma is horse blanket, lemon rind, apricot, and orange peel. Taste is lemon, white wine, funk, citrus and oak. Not what I expected, still was fabulous.

3/8 th bottle from Willems in Grobbendonk. Aroma brett, nutmeg at first, then softer somewhat sweetish even. Taste decent acidity, light bitterness, sweetish nutterscotch, malty. Decent but not too complex or refined. SimonBlok (1391) - Groningen, NETHERLANDS - SEP 8, 2018
37,5cl bottle at home, bought at De Roemer. Appearance: hazy golden with persistent medium sized white head. Aroma: dusty attic, funk, brett, vinegar. Taste: medium sweetness, low bitterness and fairly high tartness. Notes of brett, dust, funk, lemon, some vinegar, and a trace of nuts and dusty sawdust in the finish. Palate: medium bodied, watery to oily texture and lively carbonation. Overall: a soaked and vinegary cork was beneath the bottle cap. This was unexpected and new for me. Maybe this is a sign something could be wrong with the beer. Overall the beer seems quite dusty. Not the best geuze I’ve had. ShivanDragon (5927) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - AUG 30, 2018

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2018 Barwy pomarańczowej, delikatnie zamglone.
Piana niska, nietrwała.
Aromat owocowy, trochę słodki, trochę kwaśny. Wyraźne białe winogrona, trochę cytrusów, pigwa. Delikatne dzikie nuty.
W smaku kwaśne, trochę cierpkie. Agrestowa goryczka. Dobre. PascalJ (157) - BELGIUM - JUL 25, 2018
Zurig-fruitig aroma (lambiek, groene appel, beetje citroen). De smaak is zacht zurig-fruitig met een licht granige toets. De afdronk is zacht zurig en droog, maar toch redelijk volmondig voor een Oude Geuze.
