UPDATED: APR 7, 2019 Mostly about the dry, roaster, burnt malt - coffee, oats. Reminds me a little of the Guinness I grew up on. But there are fruity notes from the hops too - pineapple and citrus. Solid.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2019 330ml bottle from radbeer.com. Black colour with tan head. Big dark roasted malts, tobacco, dark chocolate, green coffee beans, black coffee, pine resin, some dankness from simcoe, light liquorice. Good complexity for abv, I should try more of this style maybe

JackMandarin (629) - Aberdour, SCOTLAND - DEC 24, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2018 Bottle from Radbeer. Pours a dark, reddish brown. Dirty tan head that's fluffy and a little rocky. Aroma of strong-ish roasted notes with the green herbal resins of Simcoe. Over-brewed coffee. A little cola drink. Pineapple and grapefruit zing from the hop. Nice. Taste has an initial light mocha sweetness with burnt malt notes. Bittersweet with tea-like dryness. Very light tropicality hiding in there. It's thin-ish bit fine enough for the abv. Long, tangy bittersweet finish. Very decent.

Palate is dusty, little thin, moderate carbonation, light oily. Some background citrus. Good stuff.
