This is an excellent Doppelbock, there is a very nice balance between sweetness, abv and drinkabilty and this straddles the line superbly. Nice full malty and sweetness, lovely mouthfeel, a little chocolate but smooth and very more'ish'. Love this.
weizen-slayer (1184) - Passau, GERMANY - APR 25, 2020UPDATED: APR 26, 2020 Dunkler Doppelbock mit 18,8 % Stammwürze und 7,8 % Alk.
Geruch frisch, malzig, Traubensaft. Geschmacklich sehr malzig, viel Alkohol, leicht röstige und bittere Noten. Insgesamt eher auf der süßen Seite. Relativ spritzig, stört etwas den ansonsten ungewöhnlich süffigen Charakter dieses Doppelbocks. Trotzdem ein gutes Bier.
ciocanelu (4480) - Timisoara, ROMANIA - OCT 29, 2018Clear brown color with reddish hues, tan head. Aroma has sweet dried fruits like raisins and dates, some brown sugar and caramel malt notes. Taste is sweet at first but gets quickly more astringent and nutty with a light earthy bitterness on the finish. Medium to light body and carbonation. Quite good and easy drinking.
AssKicker (2577) - Strasbourg, FRANCE - DEC 3, 2016Couleur brune, mousse... mouais. Odeur impressionnante, mêlant caramel et noix, noix de pécan, super agréable et prononcé. En bouche ça goûte bon le fruit sec et le pruneau. Vachement pruneau ouais. Un peu aqueux. Un peu de torréfié également. Chouette bière, mais à consommer à petite dose car vite écoeurante mine de rien.
jaghana (7770) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - DEC 2, 2016Bottle 50cl, given by Quack-Duck, A dark amber beer with low head. Nose is on caramel, hay, grain and dry grapes. Aroma is on toasted caramel, chocolate, toasted grain, quite sweet. Good malty body.

Nutty and syrupy malty aroma with notes of dried and vinous fruits, as well as a shade of chocolate. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Mildly dark and toasted malty base with nutty notes, dried fruits, raisins and molasses; sweet, dried fruity and slightly molassy finish with a hint of chocolate at the very end. The alcohol is fairly muted, pleasant. 22.IX.16

Quack-Duck (11866) - Down South, GERMANY - APR 24, 2016bottle from getränke Fleischmann Wörth/Isar. Brown colour with a small beige head. Roasty nose. Malty, rosaty hints, also some caramel and a touch of burnt malts. Raisins and some shy dates, plus some caramel and dark chocolate. Complex, smooth and delightful.
Dedollewaitor (21432) - Odense, DENMARK - MAR 11, 2012Bottle @ Pivni Rozmanitost, Prague. Pours dark ruby amber with a creamy head and lacings. Chewy caramel, vague roast, scent of alcohol and fruit. Full bodied. Nice.
