750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a huge, relatively stable white head. The aroma is very spicy - ginger, pepper - with flowers and medium yeasty. Medium body with a high carbonation, a medium to medium-heavy sweetness and a medium bitterness. The flavor is medium malty with honey, biscuit and a bitter herbal touch, some ginger, some yeasty fruitiness. Dry bitter finish with herbs, pepper, some ginger. Overall full of flavors but not completely balanced.

Orange, hazy body, with a massive, stable, frothy, rocky, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of bread, dough, vanilla, sweet spices, sweet grains, flowers.
Tastes of spices, some ginger, bread, dough, hay, flowers, some vanilla.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a fizzy carbonation.
Finishes spicy, dry, grainy, yeasty, a bit fruity, subtly sweet.
Very nice. I really like the lovely, smooth nose, taste is more on the dry, spicy side. Ginger isn't too prominent, just provides some more spiciness. Very good, old-school Saison.

No BB date. yellow rather hazy color, quite big white head. smells flowery, ginger, peppery, spices, honey, very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes ginger, peppery, spices, flowery, light honey, grassy, light chlorophyl. finishes medium bitter with notes of ginger, grass and peppery notes. nice one but also a bit strong on the ginger / peppery / grassy side. overall quite nice though.

Poured from caged and corked 750ml bottle(room temp) a cloudy reddish gold with a large head of foam that grew as it was sitting in my New Belgium goblet. It took several minutes for the foam to settle down but once it did, I was left with a solid layer with lots of lacing hugging my glass. Very very nice.
The smell was dominated by strong citrus and yeasty notes which made for a good nose.
The taste is surprisingly sweet up front. I note sweet malt but not really caramelly sweet, followed by a good dose of spice and fruit with a healthy portion of funk that offsets the sweetness nicely. Further in to the bottle, the fruit really asserts itself with nice apricot and fig flavours mixed in with hints of banana and clove. There's a *lot* of complexity in this Saison and as it warms up(even from room temp) the various flavours just keep getting better and better at least..to my palate. Wow. This is one heck of a brew!
I've now poured the last bit in my glass and it's: cloudier than ever due to the natural sediment and..the malt profile is probably at its zenith because I'm tasting a sweet malty goodness that's actually more pronounced than my first sips but....it's more balanced and tastier because the fruit and funk are there to "guide" it. Again. Wow....what a brew!
Bottom line Part 2: This is an outstanding Saison. I dare say, the best I've ever tasted!

Bottle in Seattle. Thick, growing foam head which leads to fairly bright carbonation. Nice looking saison appearance, light hazed orange. Lightly peppery yeast nose, grains of paradise too. Nice bit of ginger bite to the sip, which adds to the peppery yeast snap. Dries out considerably with a good earthy, spiced bitterness. Bottle, 9.4 FL OZ. Pours slightly hazy yellow/gold with a thick, soapy, slightly off-white head. Lots of small bubbles visible, and some patchy lacing. Aroma is softly sweet, fruity, and slightly musty, with ginger, lemon zest, clove, cinnamon. Gentle honeyed malt notes develop as it warms. Undercurrent of spicey, slightly musty yeast. Taste is lightly sweet and fruity up front, with more citrus and candied orange, followed up by clove, coriander, ginger confectionery, slightly herbal/vegetal touches, spicy, cheesy yeast, black pepper and moderate herbal bitterness in the finish. Light aftertaste of sourdough and ginger. Body is medium, texture is smooth and silky, carbonation is pleasantly lively. Super easy drinking. One of the nicest, most well-rounded saisons I've had.
