Idiosynkrasie (9558) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 1, 2018
500ml bottle. Hazy, yellow-ish, bright golden colour with small, frothy, fading, white head. Fruity, funky aroma, notes of peach, yellow stone fruit in general, indeed hints of blue-veined cheese. Taste is tart, fruity, tangy and slightly funky, notes of yellow stone fruit, fruit acid, cheese cake, a touch of white pepper; spicy blue mould finish. Very interesting - not overly complex, but the Roqueforti usage works really well.

PowY (1939) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - SEP 30, 2018
From bottle at Biercafe Au Trappist, Bern, during Zwanze Day 2018. Hazy, light golden color with no head. Aroma of unripe peaches, apricots, mild funk, leather and hints of wood. Medium body with a lively carbonation, a medium to medium-heavy sourness and a light tartness. The flavor is again dominated by peaches and apricots along with some vinegar, tart gooseberries and some wood. Finishes dry with some residual apricot flavors and a light acidic burn (vinegar). Really good - a nice blend of the peaches, the acidity and mild funk. Aroma: 8 Appearance: 3 Taste: 8 Palate: 4 Overall: 16
