Jabic (885) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - SEP 1, 2018
Draught. Ar: Dusty cocoa, lightly roasted coffee; raisin. Ap: Deep chestnut brown; clear, but difficult to see through due to dark hue; small tan head with moderate-low retention, settling into a thin covering of variously sized bubbles. T: Dark caramel and raisin; medium-low sweetness; bitterness is medium, with a black licorice and earthy hop flavor; treacle; finish is toffee, more caramel, and some tannins. P: Medium body with medium-high carbonation; finish is medium-dry. O: A bitter and fairly substantial brown ale; solid.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear brown with a large tan head that slowly falls. Big malt on the nose, brewing, grain, mash. Medium bodied, nice toast note. Lightly sweet, nice bitterness on the finish. Quite easy drinking.

En fût au Benelux Sherbrooke. Couleur acajou trouble, mousse beige laissant une dentelle éparse. Arôme de malt grillé, café, houblon résineux. Goût de malt grillé, amertume moyenne, noisette. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen-dense.

Sample on tap at the brewpub. Deep brown pour with lacy tan head. Aroma is really rich, tons of fruity malt, light molasses, honey, floral notes, light brown sugar. Taste is sweet, really toasty, rich malty notes brown sugar. Palate is med bodied with light carbonation, creamy. Good.

Stoned99 (1927) - Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 1, 2015
12 ounces on tap at Brasseurs du Moulin. Aroma: nuts, caramel. App: dark brown small beige head. Small ring in the middle. Nice lacing. Taste and palate: medium to full body, lots of nuts in mouth, medium carbonation, medium sweetness, light bitter finish. Overall: great beer from Benelux. Not usually a fan of brown ale but this one isn’t watery like I often think they are...
