Maybe some day I’ll find the pale ale to really stick with. Even if I could access this one from the states, this wouldn’t be the one.

I got this as twisted trail ale. Enjoyed the beer but was middle of the line as far as ales go. Quenched my thirst and smooth but it tastes may have been just a little too mild for my taste. cmacklin (1929) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 29, 2015
355ml can. (As Twisted Trail Extra Pale Ale) Pours a slightly hazy, copper with a thin beige head. Light aroma of caramel malt. Sweet flavour of caramel malt and corn with a mildly bitter, dry, fruity finish. Medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. 355 ml can from a taster’s twelve-pack from Real Canadian Liquorstore, served in a goblet. Second in a line of four Bowen Island/Kamloops Brewery craft brews. Pours a reddish-cola shade, with light carbonation. The initially smooth head of off-white quickly vanishes, leaving small spots of lace. Aroma has a muted hop presence for a pale ale, with only faint citrus and earthiness. The bready malt is restrained as well, on the level of an ISA. The sip presents softness all around in malt, hop, and bitterness; the malt toasty, the hop winey, the bitterness just a tiny flick of the tongue. Thin, with a dry finish. Labeled as an Extra Pale Ale, it better befits the designation of a session ale in its overall balance and character. Not spectacular, but very nice and quaffable all the same. So far, in my latest tasting spree, I haven’t had a bum beer yet. I hope to maintain the streak... tdubs92 (79) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 1, 2014
Can-fairly boring nose. Pours a dark amber with a small creamy head that stayed consistent around the top. Ok taste. It is balanced like advertised. Malty on the palate. Pretty run of the mill pale ale.

355 ml can rebranded as Twisted Trail Extra Pale Ale. Clear copper, small lasting off-white foamy head. Mild aroma of caramel malt, grass and something unpleasant. Not too sweet malt taste, overshadowed by KB’s annoying funky yeasty taste. Average carbonation, lighter bodied, low hopped. This just tastes bad. A copper in color, poured a 2 finger head that was gone by the second sip
S smelled sweet, earthy, with something i just cant place the same smell in other bowen island brews
T pretty average, grain is what i taste with a little sweetness to it. not great but for the price 7.50$ its worth a try the day before payday
M pretty thin, smooth enough but again average at best
D fairly easy to drink, i did not gag like i would on most beers for the same price

courtesy of Sandra Huber-Matsui - pours a hazy dark amber beer with a modest head retention; aroma of corn and caramel easily hides the modest hop character; medium-bodied at best; rounded palate which end pretty tart; low bitterness and more notes of caramel and corn in the finish - modest ... to stay polite reebtogi (6488) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 24, 2012
355ml can pours a pale golden amber color with a 2 finger white head that disappears quickly leaving little lacing. Aroma is light caramel and fruits with some grass. Taste is light fruit and malt sweetness with a mild hop bitterness. Not a good representation of the style and not desirable.
