Crisp, clear, smooth with really no blemishes. Unassuming but proper.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2022 2pac day, 2022. Bottle. Pale gold with a modest white head. Aroma of light bread, some paper, weeds. Hints of berries if you squint? Getting towards watery, fizzy. Clean enough with very light bread and modest but sufficient weedy bitterness. This is the second one I've had in the last couple of weeks - the last one must have been ancient because it was unfinishably bad. But this is OK.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2021 Pours a clear pale gold, brief white head. Faint aroma of grain, malt, straw. To taste, fairly standard mass market lager, but distinguished by rich malty flavour, some biscuit, raisin and honey. Quite sweet, high carbonation. Aftertaste is a touch soapy. Tolerable if nothing else is available.

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2020 Used to work for CUB as a sparky. This beer is just Fosters in what we once called a Hollywood bottle. I'd rather lick the sweat off a gorillas buttocks than drink anything made by these people. All they do is make a base beer and add or subtract chemicals. Melbourne Bitter is VB with a teaspoon of caramel. VB has 37 chemicals in it. Like headaches?

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2020 Bottle at Singapore Airlines Silverkris Lounge, Melbourne Airport. Clear light golden with a white head. Light with some bread, paper and hints of grass. Light and with no bitterness. Well, it was free in the lounge.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2019 Nice refreshing Australian lager in cool long neck bottle. Very hard to find in NZ at the moment.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2019 Taste like a soap for me. Packaging was very nice and presentable and look elegant like a crown casino but the taste was terrible.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2019 If this is the best offering from CUB they should close the doors and wind the brewery up now. A shiny gold label and fancier shaped bottle does not guarantee a good beer. Doesn't taste any different to VB. Apparently it is the same with one extra hop addition. No good
