SloaneRanger (327) - - SEP 25, 2020
UPDATED: SEP 25, 2020 Kuparisen värinen lasissa. Tuoksussa on pähkinäistä makeutta, viikunaa, luumua ja hedelmää. Mausta löytyy edelleen toffeemaista makeutta, pähkinää, luumua ja vähäisesti humalaa.

Zlotta (6669) - Hagen, GERMANY - SEP 7, 2020
UPDATED: SEP 7, 2020 0.5 l bottle from 'Craftbeer-Shop.com', best before December 2029. Clear, ruby with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity, gently resiny aroma of marmelade, molasses, raisins, melon and some pine. Quite sweet, malty, gently fruity and moderately resiny taste of molasses, raisins, some marmelade, a touch of pine and hints of orange, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, slightly warming finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. I think this is the first Vintage Ale I tried with less than a year of age on it (of about ten). The best ones were between two and three years with more complexity than this one but without the oxidization of older ones. This one might be more interesting as it is now with the Wai-iti hops still detectable, but I wouldn't mind trying it after three years as well.

cmacklin (2546) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 28, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2020 500ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber-copper with a medium, creamy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of toasted bready malt, caramel, toffee, date, prune and orange peel. Sweet flavour of toasted caramel malt, toffee, nuts, prune, date, raisin, honey, orange, lemon and floral hops in a dry, mild bitter, warming booze finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. A little boozy heat in the finish, but aging will mellow that out and truly make this an exceptional beer.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2020 Bottled 500ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Bottle No.041045. Dark amber coloured, medium sized off-white to pale beige head, malzy nose. Moderate malty, caramel, nutty, notes of dried fruits and alcohol with sweetish finish.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2020 Part of the LCBO Autumn 2019 Beer Program, taken while I was relaxing watching Platoon after a week of lost of home visits. I like the fact that this yearly gift is different one year to the next. This one was a New Zealand influence, well done.

Turboninja (1868) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 11, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2020 Bottle No [email protected] cottage. Strong averagely balanced nuances of oak, caramel, toffee, bitterish vienna malts, some alcohol. Averagely hopped. Wide/medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with dry, woody toffee and malts. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, high quality in its style, a reference product. That said, not too distinctive character. 8 4 8 4 17

dorain (1648) - Berlin, GERMANY - JUL 8, 2020

Rune (19313) - Tromso, NORWAY - MAY 21, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 21, 2020 500ml bottle, No 052619, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Off-white, steady head leaving crocheted lacing on the glass. Bright and deep copper coloured body. Very nice appearance, indeed. Promising aromas of smooth caramel and dried fruits. Well blended taste of ripe lemon, nutty caramel, dates and raisin. Lingering bittersweet tail. Well bodied. Lovely sipper, enjoyed for more than an hour. (Tromsø 21.05.2020).

BeardedAvenger (3960) - Addlestone, Surrey, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 17, 2020 Bottle from Waitrose obvs. Fruity aroma. Vinous hints. Earthiness and booze. Dark brown. Not quite chestnut. Creamy off-white head. Initial light bitter with tangy fruit and berries. Both these elements grow in insanity but before sweet nuts and caramel make an appearance. Boozy edge throughout. Medium bodue. Slick with a sticky residue. Average-soft carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Decent - fruity and boozy yet restrained.
