UPDATED: JUL 11, 2022 Zeer donkerbruin bier met een lichtbruine schuimkraag. Geuren zijn zowel zoet als van koffie en chocola. De geuren komen ook in de smaak terug aangevuld met fruitige tonen van kersen. Mondgevoel is iets waterig.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2021 Ciemnobrązowe, klarowne, z niedużą, drobną pianką. W zapachu pumpernikiel, daktyle, czekolada, orzechy włoskie i piernik. W smaku podobnie, mocno słodkie, dochodzi kawa, wędzona węgierka w czekoladzie, średnia, tytoniowa goryczka. Gładziutkie, nisko wysycone, oleiste w odbiorze z lekko rozgrzewającym alko.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2021 Bottle. Pours a deep dark brown with a tan head. Very nice espresso, dark choc musty dusty aroma. Medium body, light to medium carbonation. Good stuff. Lots of what you'd expect - dark choc, light espresso, light treacle, fig, prunes, light rum, light smokiness... A touch sweet but nicely balanced and the booze barely makes an appearance.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2022 (750ml 2014 vintage bottle from somewhere found in the cellar) Pours basically black with a small ring of tan. Notes of nicely rich roasted malts for the age, burnt sugars and moderate toast, some nice umami smokiness, dried and dark fruits, dusty coffee, soft but present woody notes from the cherry-smoked malt I guess, moderately sweet up front but drying somewhat in the finish, edges of the crispness you'd expect from a bottom-fermented beer. Medium bodied, oily, soft but active carbonation. A bottle that held up very well given its age and multiple cellar moves; I think I last had this beer before I joined RB and it reminded me of what it was like fresh back then.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2021 Color negro, opaca. Espuma marrón claro, amarillento, de apenas un dedo de espesor y corta retención. Aroma intenso, maltas tostadas, ligeramente quemadas, licor, regaliz y notas de guindas. Sabor intenso, maltas tostadas, caramelo, licor, leve chocolate, café, madera, regaliz y notas ahumadas, final largo, dulce, licoroso y un punto tostado. Textura casi oleosa. Carbonatación baja. Fantástica, una joya de ricos matices, diferentes en aroma y sabor. Y en un formato que invita a beber y comentar en grupo, muy bien.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2021 Botella de 75 cl. Fecha de embotellado 06/10/20. Color negro con ligera carbonatación y escasa espuma. Aroma a café, chocolate, ciruelas, uvas pasas, cerezas. Sabor a café, chocolate, cerezas, uvas pasas, vainilla, ahumado suave. Buen cuerpo, dulce pero no en exceso, equilibrada, alcohol bien oculto, maravillosa cerveza!

Grande Cuvee. na poczatek spory plus za spore i wyczerpujace informacje na kontr etykiecie. potencjal starzenia od 3 do 5 lat, jest ta wersja juz stara 4 lata, ale sadze ze powyzej zalecanych czyli 5 lat nie byl by ten porter gorszy niz ten dzis otwarty. jest wybitne, ne tylko bardzo dobre, dzieje sie tu sporo i sporo wiecej niz w bajce czeskiej sasiedzi, piana kremowa, bezowa srednio trwala ale w miare spora, barwa ciemna brazowa nie przejrzysta, doskonale pachnie wisniami w czekoladzie, rodzynkami figami i ziarnami kakao. w smaku wytrawne mocno, bardzo mocno palone, wanilia, daktyle i figi. korzenne przyprawy kapke. drewno i sliwka suszona na koniec to tak na posmak. wybitny porter.
