Backlog rating from RBESG 2008: Orange brow, creamy head. Big hop, orangezest, roast aroma. Huge piny hops, citrus, orangepeel, hop oils on the palate. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Sugary roast retronasal. Very nice. motelpogo (7703) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - MAY 1, 2012
bottled, at rbesg08 grand tasting. deep shade of amber with a steady head; aroma of clove and nutmeg with some earthy spice carrying through to the palate; well-balanced for its high abv; like all the other dugges beers i’ve tried, it was flawlessly made but somehow i couldn’t help but think something was missing anders37 (30292) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 5, 2010
Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a longlasting off-white head. Dry malty spicy licorice aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty spicy yeasty licorice flavor with some weak hints of dark fruit. Has a dry warming malty spicy yeasty finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste. gyllenbock (11799) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 10, 2010
Dark reddish brown with a large fine foam. Aroma of spices, roasted malt, dried fruit, some yeast and a little bit of alcohol. The flavor was surprisingly mild, given the 9.8%, easy to drink. Tasted coriander and other spices, raisins, fruit and some alcohol. Bitter finish, medium carbonation.
Best before were May 2009, the beer tasted good more than a year after that. Ungstrup (41929) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 1, 2009
Bottled. An amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet matly combined with notes of alcohol and over ripe fruits, and so is the flavor.

Licorice, grassy and floral aroma. Red colour, small beige head, good lace. Very sweet, very bitter, raisin, laurel, hint of molasses, spices. Full bodied, heavy and flavourful. More like an American than a Belgian Strong Ale.
Bottle. Copper colour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, berries, malt. Flavour is sweet, sour, berries, hop, malt, alcohol. Full bodied beer. Nice beer. Svesse (9946) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAR 28, 2009
(Bottle) Reddish amber colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, apricots, orange peel, winegum and candy sugar. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, raisins, orange peel, liquorice and dried apricots. Lots of citrussy, almost resinous, hops in the finish. More than medium body, fairly sweet with a warming touch of alcohol towards the end. Excellent beer. TEJA (4024) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 27, 2009
Bottle 2 years old. Big fluffy light brown foam. Deep red color. Phenolic and oak aged aroma with some dried fruits. Sweet with some alcohol that warms the palete. Hops also in the taste. but not much bitterness to balance the sweetness. American style with complexity. KnutAlbert (6842) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 29, 2008
