Maria (10209) - Thisted, DENMARK - JAN 20, 2013
It’s red mahogany with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of caramel, raisins soaked in rum and other fruits and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, fruit, roasted malt, hints of licorice and the finish is slightly dry.

Mariusz (12966) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - JUL 1, 2012
Brown colour, cloudy, persistent head. Tastes very strong, but not alcoholic. Modest malty, well balanced finish.

BlackHaddock (9509) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 11, 2012
Flip-top half litre bottle poured into a stemmed tulip glass in ’’Aufsturz’, Berlin on 16 Apr 2011. The beer was way, way too cold. It is a clear demierra brown, or ruby (the bar is dark). Once the beer began to warm a little the smells started to come out, sweet molasses being the pick of the bunch, someone in my party claimed scorched Mango’s, but his nose is strange! The beer was dark chocolate semi-sweet with a hint of sourness adding to the complexity. Medium bodied for such a strong, dark beer. Only two days left before it’s best before date, but it seemed fine to me: not that I’ve had it before. Overall just averge, just didn’t feel right in all aspects.

Had this beer some time ago, transferring data from database before Januar 2012 I was using to rate beer. As I drink this again I will add a complete review.

Finally I rate this beer. Bottle looks really good, as well as the beer in the glass. Light brown, nice head. Starts mild, modest malty and dry, a bit roasty. Finish still mild, not as strong as the ABV. Quite drinkable for a beer if this strength. Nice!

Chestnut brown. Lifeless diluted brown sugar macro dark nose. Quite sweet. Little bit sticky, with caramelized sugars. Kind of flat.

2.5
Beershine (5257) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 11, 2011
Pours with unenthusiastic sparkle and dull looks. Flat looking. Smells tiny and dull. Thin. Metallic aftertaste. After some thin, randomly sweet malts. Is sweet, simple, and a bore.

Bottle. Dark red with a thin head. Sweet malt aroma. Flavour is very thin with a bittersweet finish.

Bottle shared by LArsga. Sweet caramel aroma. Fairly light, warming alcohol. A little vinous.

OleR (4801) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 25, 2010
0.5L bottle kindly shared by larsga. A clear, dark copper-brown body, covered by a film of tiny blond bubbles. Peppery caramel aroma, with notes of plums and raisins. Light and soft, caramelly malt flavor. Medium sweet with a sourish twist. Noticable alcohol. Mild spice notes and a touch dark dried fruits. Surprisingly light-bodied. Short watered down caramel finish.
