The classic Bitburger - a mature and most agreeable beer - is brewed with the best of ingredients in the same traditional way it has been for many, many years. The result is delicately tart and pleasantly bitter - with a strong hop taste.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2019 On tap. Comes a clear gold with a decent white head. Aroma of malt, grain, citrus, and grass. Taste is the same. Pleasant.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2019 The base beer on tap for most river cruises we have gone on, I am finally reviewing Bitburger. Served in the Bitburger glass, it shows a medium yellow-gold with a just-there white head. The scent is grain and citrus. A drink gives me a bit of lemon, rice and other grain, slightly sweet, slightly bitter. Not reinventing pilsners but all right by me.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2019 On tap (IIC 2019) at the MOXY, Frankfurt East on 26-Mar-2019. Pale golden colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma of malt and grain. Medium body and carbonation. Taste of grain, caramel and hops. Light bitterness. A little thin.

adamnowek (4892) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 19, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2019 Bottle on an ICE train. Bright and clear golden. Super effervescent. A little bit of hay and some crackers. Not super exciting.

ra002 (7) - - MAR 9, 2019 does not count
UPDATED: MAR 9, 2019 Not so great, but does the job. Nothing really and later not so nice after taste

tmoreau (5858) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - MAR 9, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 9, 2019 11.2 oz. bottle poured to logoed stemware at the Schnitzel Platz in Glendale Heights, IL. showing a clear, golden hue, with a presentable layer of white froth, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was soft, slightly sweet grain, Pils malt & lager yeast character, with a hint of fruitiness. Light to medium bodied, with lively carbonation, the taste was similar, adding modest but lingering noble, slightly earthy, and grainy bitterness, with a crisp, clean, and lightly dry finish. Refreshing, and very food complementary.

tomekk1978 (2040) - Z±bki, POLAND - FEB 25, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 25, 2019 Aromat: klasyczny, zbożowe i herbatnikowe nuty słodu wraz z chmielem ziołowo-kwiatowym. Wygląd: barwa złota, klarowna. Piana biała, drobno i średnio pęcherzykowa, obfita i trwała.

badhack (668) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 17, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 17, 2019 Cracker and cereal and a lot of carbonation up front. The finish is similar with some yeast and bittering hops to finish. Very light in flavor overall.
